ISA ISA connects where it sparks, so that young people can thrive. ISA believes in the enormous potential

ISA envisions a world in which once marginalized young people have become agents of change. By participating in Sport for Development activities, they have learned to shape their own future, have strengthened their confidence, have become active citizens and have committed themselves to building up their communities. They have moved away from the vicious cycle of poverty, violence and inequality that has kept them and their families on the margin of society.

From Festival 24 to local communities in Egypt.
Three youth leaders. One shared belief: when youth lead, sport becomes a force for confidence, belonging, and change.

At ISA , empowerment means creating real opportunities for young people to apply their skills. Through leadership, confidence-building, and play-based learning, we work with partners to turn learning into meaningful community action.

The WE GOT GAME Community Festivals bring this to life. Led by impact partners and supported by ISA, the festivals give young people space to lead, facilitate, and inspire.

With the first festival held last week in Kenya (ISA East Africa), more youth-led activities are set to take place across the region in the coming weeks — placing young people at the centre of community change.

Movement brings people together in classrooms, in communities, and on the field. We joined conversations ranging from physically active learning to creating safe, inclusive sport spaces for refugees and forcibly displaced people at the MOVE Congress 2025.

Different conversations, but the same message: Movement can build confidence, connection and belonging for young people everywhere.

Meet the faces behind ISA MENA
AKA the team turning ideas into action, and action into impact.

Over the past week, our ISA MENA Team came together in Cairo not just to plan, but to reconnect, laugh, reflect, and re-imagine what’s next for youth empowerment in the region, whilst aligning our work across MarCom, Business & Organisational Development, and Programme Impact.

Because that’s the heart of ISA MENA:
real people, real commitment, real change.

➡️ Want to collaborate, volunteer, or partner?
ISA MENA is always open to building alliances for social change and scaling impact across Egypt and the region.

From volunteer to community leader.

Diallo Moumouni’s journey with ISA Mali shows the real impact of empowering youth through sport. Through ISA trainings, mentorship, COVID-19 Initiative support, and the ISA Youth Fund, Diallo built the skills to lead community projects and organise powerful sport-for-change events.

Today, he runs one of the region’s biggest community tournaments even attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports. This year, Diallo’s team won the championship, and one of his players earned a fully sponsored place at Kabala Sports School.

This is what long-term youth empowerment looks like.

We’re thrilled to celebrate the ongoing impact of She Got Game (SGG) across the Netherlands and Europe, together with our amazing impact partners.

Over the years, we’ve trained girl coaches in the She Got Game principles, helping them create safe and empowering spaces for teenage girls in cities like Amsterdam, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen, and Tilburg.
These coaches continue to make a lasting difference by creating opportunities for more girls to participate in sports, and keep addressing the ongoing gap in community sports opportunities for girls.

Resources for you:
On both our website and the She Got Game site, you’ll find two valuable guides:
📘 The She Got Gamebook, a practical guide with activities for female leaders looking to inspire and lead.
📗 The Girls Engagement Guidebook, filled with insights and strategies to encourage girls’ participation in sports.

As we look ahead to the new year, we’re excited about our upcoming programme in collaboration with partners across Europe, continuing to evolve She Got Game and empower even more girls through sport.

Let’s keep celebrating the achievements of these incredible girls and dedicated coaches.
Together, we’re creating a more inclusive and empowering future in sports.
