DCDD is a Dutch platform that promotes disability inclusion in international development coorporation. We believe in the power of inclusion. Change is needed.

When people with disabilities are included in all social, economic and political spheres of life, everybody gains. Right now, people with disabilities around the world face many physical obstacles, communication barriers, inadequate laws and policies as well as negative stereotypes. We are here for everyone who wants to make inclusion happen! Inclusion works!

Are you passionate about impactful storytelling, driving change, and amplifying voices? DCDD is looking for a Communications Intern/Volunteer to help us elevate our message and connect with a diverse audience!

🌟 What You'll Do
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop new communication materials.
- Optimize and enhance our new website.
- Write and publish articles about (online) events we host.
- Manage and proactively use social media to create an interactive platform.

Support network activities, including:
- Learning and networking events for members.
- Lobbying activities targeting the Dutch government.

🌟 What We're Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate of Communication/International Relations/International Development or other relevant studies;
- Affinity with international development & human rights;
- Experience in communication & social media;
- Good command of English (Dutch is a bonus).

"I’m excited to join DCDD as the new coordinator, bringing my Master’s in Anthropology & International Development and experience with inclusive employment at the Liliane Foundation. My background in HR, Development Cooperation, and various NGOs sparked my passion for inclusive development and equal opportunities for marginalized groups. I look forward to strengthening DCDD’s impact on people with disabilities in developing countries and working together to promote inclusion."

Get to know CBM Global Disability Inclusion!

In 1908, Pastor Ernst Christoffel founded a home in Turkey for people in poverty, including those with disabilities, becoming a pioneer for inclusion. His work grew into Christoffel Blindenmission (CBM), now a global force for change. In 2019, CBM restructured into CBM Global Disability Inclusion to focus on empowering diverse priorities worldwide.

CBM Global Disability Inclusion works with the most marginalised communities to:
