OPERATIONS
Primary focus is education of children with a special emphasis on girls. Clean water projects are included as they allow more children to attend school and provide for better health outcomes in children. Our projects are always designed with first level negotiation with the primary stakeholders, the beneficiaries. Our programs are designed to be long term within the defined geographic
area of work. Usually this means for at least a 5 year term. We believe that our beneficiaries should have confidence in our long term multiple program commitment. We also preview project idea with other local ngo’s working with the same primary beneficiaries
We control funding of our projects
We design our projects with specific outcomes and constantly monitor those outcomes. We develop feedback loops with the primary beneficiaries and revise our projects based on this feedback. We design our projects to require appropriate beneficiary contributions. Sometimes this is represented by an investment of the beneficiary’s time such as English or computer classes. On other projects we require a small financial participation such as with the preschool. GOCARE Policy on Racial Discrimination
GOCARE programs admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students in our programs. GOCARE does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
