We want to create global-minded citizens by enabling young adults, single travelers, and anyone who wants to just get out of their comfort zones to experience a different culture in a safe and exhilarating environment. To inspire people to travel more, to broaden their perspective of the world around them, and to experience not only the differences, but the commonality of humani
ty. We seek to provide our clients with everything they need to facilitate that journey - including airport pickup, housing, food, as well as volunteer placement and activities. What we are not:
We are not a traditional volunteer organization whereby the very term volunteer implies superiority. By saying that we are an experience exchange, we mean exactly that. We want to bring travelers to exchange ideas and cultures with local Nicaraguans; not to assume that their culture is inferior to ours or that they need our help. We are not an NGO, or a community development company. We are merely interested in giving people the chance to gain an understanding and appreciation of how life outside their sphere of influence is lived. -- And to go home a changed person.
