EA Nicaragua | One child, One family, One community at a time After an early dinner at 4:00pm, the children are walked home by a family member.

With all of our children safe with a loving family, we transitioned our child protection center into a family enrichment center to serve some of the families of our children who still need our encouragement. This encouragement includes:
-- counseling by our social worker and psychologist in the home and on our campus, scholarships/transportation to a quality school and tutoring,
and provision of t

hree quality meals for the children on school days. A typical day while school is in session would see a family member before work bring their child/children to the center at 6:00am. After the children are served a nutritious breakfast, they are taken to school on our bus accompanied by a housemother. At noon, the children return to our campus for lunch and an afternoon of tutoring and computer lab. During the week, our social worker and psychologist follow up with families in their homes providing encouragement and accountability. It is a great partnership with each family with the ultimate goal of preparing their children for life while empowering them towards self dependency! Presently, sponsorships are needed especially for Valeska, Erika, and Luis. Sponsors will receive information and updates on the child they support.

We are so grateful to have our Sponsor Team with us this week at EA! The Sponsor Team is made up of some of the individuals who have chosen to personally sponsor one of our HCN children. Sponsors not only invest financially in the life of a child and their education, but they build meaningful relationships with their child through video calls, birthday cards, encouraging notes and letters, and last but not least, prayer!

New benches being made by Bayardo, our Maintenance expert and Jeff, who is a handyman on the sponsor team serving at EA this week. This bench will be sealed and placed in the shady area behind the HCN.

We are overflowing with gratitude for having a wonderful week with First Baptist Church of Alamo, TN! Serving joyfully, they painted, prayed, distributed blessing bags, and deepened some truly meaningful friendships. Take a look at just a few of the moments from their time with us at EA.

We are so thankful for the the team from Malesus Baptist Church in Jackson, TN! 🙏🏼 These pictures do not do justice in telling of the impact they made this week, but as you can see they painted a school classroom, distributed and plants fruit trees, gave broiler chickens to families, prayed over many people in many different circumstances, and they served faithfully and humbly all week. We can’t wait to have them back soon!

The morning symphony at sunrise from the EA campus. It brings to mind the words of the old hymn (inspired by Lamentations 3:22-23), “morning by morning new mercies I see”.

Today we celebrate the women whose love shapes families, strengthens communities, and reflects the heart of God.

At El Ayudante, we are blessed to know so many incredible mothers, grandmothers, aunts, foster mothers, and caregivers who sacrifice daily to provide hope, encouragement, and opportunity for the children in their lives. Their resilience inspires us. Their faith sustains families. Their love changes generations.

Today, we honor every mother who has stayed strong through challenges, celebrated victories big and small, and poured herself out for the well-being of others.
