It's Midweek!

Dear young person, as you go through this week, remember that you are not too young to make a difference.

Your ideas matter, your voice matters, and the little steps you take today can create lasting impact.

At Today for Tomorrow Initiative, we believe in the power of a young person, and we give young people the platforms to lead, speak up, and drive change in their communities.

How has your week been? What action have you taken to make a difference in community this week?

A new week is here, our motivation for you this week is from Zig Ziglar:

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

So dear young person what are you starting this week? Take that first step today and commit to it.

Our Menstrual Card Game has help to change the way menstruation is talked about by creating safe spaces where young people can ask questions, share experiences, and have open, honest conversations without shame or fear.

By making learning interactive and relatable, the card game goes beyond a tool for awareness,it builds understanding, confidence, and dignity, ensuring that menstruation is no longer a silent or misunderstood topic but one that is openly discussed and properly understood by both men and women.

We are open to partnerships with organisations, institutions, and individuals who are committed to advancing menstrual dignity and expanding access to menstrual health education.

Quick question have you purchased your copy of the card game, with options for customisation to reflect your organisation’s branding?

Kindly send us a DM or reach out via email: [email protected] to get your copy.
Together, we can advance menstrual dignity and create lasting impact.

We are excited to share that our Menstrual Card Game is going digital!

Our Menstrual Card Game was selected as one of the top ten solutions at the Nigeria Youth Future Fund Hackathon, creating the opportunity for a digital version of the game to be developed and scaled for wider impact.

Last year at the DARE Conference organised by YouthhubAfrica , our Executive Director, Mrs. Adek Bassey, presented this vision, pitching a future where menstrual health education is more accessible, interactive, and widely accessible. This video captures the moment the pitching took place.

This is more than a milestone for us as an organisation,it is a step toward making menstrual health conversations accessible to everyone, everywhere. With the digital version, individuals will be able to engage with this tool from the comfort of their homes, offices, and schools, across multiple languages including Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, French, and Spanish.

Through this,we are not just creating menstrual solutions,we are expanding access, breaking barriers, and redefining how menstrual health is understood globally.

As we celebrate World Health Day, we are reminded that access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental right. From physical well-being to mental health, every individual deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and dignified life.

As an organisation, we remain committed to promoting community health and empowering young people with the knowledge to make informed health decisions.

Tell us in the comment section what healthy lifestyle are you adopting this month?

May the true essence of Easter, the sacrifice of Christ and the triumph of His resurrection serve as a profound reminder of love, grace, and redemption.

It calls us to reflect on the power of selflessness and to embody values that uplift others, strengthen communities, and inspire meaningful impact.

Wishing you a blessed and reflective Easter celebration.
Happy Easter from all of us at TFT

As we mark Good Friday, we are reminded of the power of compassion and the depth of sacrifice.

It is a moment to reflect on selflessness, the kind that chooses love, even in the face of pain and to remember that real impact often begins with empathy for others. As we honor this day, may we be inspired to show kindness, stand for justice, and extend compassion to those who need it most.

From all of us at Today For Tomorrow Initiative we are wishing a Happy Good Friday!

We are pleased to share that Today For Tomorrow Initiative -TFT , represented by our Executive Director Mrs Adek Bassey Ozaveshe participated in the International Women’s Day commemoration, convened by the UN Gender Theme Group in Nigeria in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice, brought together key stakeholders to advance conversations on “Equal Justice for Women and Girls in Nigeria: Strengthening an Inclusive Gender-Responsive Justice System.”

Today for Tomorrow Initiative participated alongside representatives from UN agencies, including UN Women and UNFPA, government institutions, the judiciary, civil society organizations, and development partners, all committed to addressing the persistent barriers women and girls face in accessing justice.

Discussions highlighted the need for stronger implementation of laws, survivor-centered approaches, improved coordination, and increased accountability across the justice system.

As we continue to push for meaningful change, the questions remain:
What will it take to ensure that justice is not just promised, but truly accessible for every woman and girl in Nigeria?
Do you think survivors are getting the justice they deserve?

For many girls, their first period comes without warning, bringing fear, confusion, and silence. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Menstruation is a natural and healthy part of growing up, yet too many girls are left without the knowledge and support they need. When we talk openly about it, we replace fear with confidence and give girls the power to understand their bodies, stay in school, and speak up for themselves.

This is why, through the funding and support of and , our team under the Her Healthy Menstrual Cycle Project(HHMC) is committed to training adolescent girls on menstruation in Fufore and Namtari in Adamawa state ensuring they have the menstrual knowledge, confidence, and dignity they deserve.

This week, what role will you play in supporting menstrual education and dignity for girls in your community?
