INTERNATIONAL PRESS CONFERENCE: OFFICIAL FLAG-OFF OF ADAMAWA GUBERNATORIAL AND HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CAMPAIGNS.
The official flag-off of the Adamawa State gubernatorial and House of Assembly campaigns was held with an impressive gathering of prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), both at the state and national levels.
The event attracted APC stakeholders, party leaders and officials, candidates contesting various elective positions at the state and national levels, members of the press, party supporters, and members of the general public.
A major highlight of the occasion was the official unveiling of the “Adamawa Rising Agenda,” the campaign slogan and strategic development vision of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu.
The APC governorship candidate received a rousing welcome from a massive crowd of supporters who accompanied him from AA Lawan Junction to Yobi Event Centre, the venue of the programme. The procession and gathering reportedly attracted thousands of enthusiastic supporters.
At the event, the Adamawa Rising Agenda was formally presented as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at repositioning Adamawa State as a major political, developmental, industrial, and economic force in Nigeria.
The agenda focuses on key sectors and priorities, including the standardisation of education, improvement of security, industrialisation, promotion of public-private partnerships, and the creation of a stronger and more sustainable economic environment. It also emphasises improving the ease of doing business as a means of attracting investment and stimulating economic growth across the state.
The atmosphere at the event reflected growing enthusiasm among supporters, with Galadima's address projecting a message of leadership, determination and readiness to provide purposeful governance and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Adamawa State.
With the official commencement of political campaigns, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima called on all supporters, party members and political actors to conduct their campaigns responsibly. He urged them to avoid inflammatory statements, divisive rhetoric, violence, and actions capable of threatening the peace, unity and stability of Adamawa State and Nigeria.
He further stressed the importance of peace, unity, mutual respect and love among citizens, noting that the collective progress of Adamawa depends on the ability of its people to work together as individuals, families, communities and as one state.
The APC gubernatorial candidate also encouraged voters to support all APC candidates contesting in the forthcoming general elections, expressing confidence that a united APC would be better positioned to implement its development agenda for the people of Adamawa State.
