Sometimes, all a child needs is an opportunity to see the world differently.

During our last session with led by , our older kids were introduced to the basics of photography. In this session, they had the chance to put what they learned into practice; holding a camera, exploring their creativity, and capturing beautiful moments through their own eyes.

Opportunities like this help children see beyond their current realities, discover new possibilities, and begin to dream bigger for themselves and their future.

And yes… the beautiful photos you’re viewing were taken by them 😊.

There’s something powerful about bringing educators, community leaders and change makers into one room to learn, reflect and reimagine what teaching can look like for every child. ✨

We’re still reflecting on the moments from our recent teacher training under the Project Read to Rise, in partnership with and the Adamawa State Ministry of Education where teachers and hub members engaged in conversations around inclusive, child-centered and safe learning approaches.

From Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to Gender Transformative Pedagogies (GTP), Child Protection, SRGBV and the Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) model, the sessions created space for learning, collaboration and deeper understanding of what meaningful education support looks like.

This works continues. And so does our commitment to helping teachers create classrooms where every child feels seen, supported and able to thrive. 📚🌍

Last month, in partnership with on Project Read to Rise, we trained over 30 formal and non-formal teachers and Hub members, on inclusive and child-centred teaching approaches. ✨

The sessions covered Gender Transformative Pedagogies (GTP), Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR), Child Protection Policies, and School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV).

This training was also carried out in partnership with the Adamawa State Ministry of Education, whose representative provided technical support throughout the sessions and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing accelerated education.

We remain committed to building safe schools and empowering teachers with the right knowledge to support every child to learn, grow, and thrive. 📚🌍

When children are given space to create, they begin to see possibilities.

Through simple materials like cardboard and paper, our children learned to design, build, and express themselves. They also got a hands-on introduction to photography, capturing moments through their own eyes.

These experiences go beyond creativity. They support confidence, healing, and emotional growth.
