BETTER YOUTH ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATES IN 2-DAY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP ON IRREGULAR MIGRATION

The Better Youth Association had the honor of participating in a 2-day Workshop on Youth Development organized by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, focusing on the vital topic of Irregular Migration.

The workshop was highly informative and impactful as experienced facilitators and speakers educated participants on the difference between Regular and Irregular Migration, their causes, effects, and significance to both individuals and national progress.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Representative of the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Adamawa State, the IOM Representative, the Nigeria Immigration Service (Adamawa Command), and several other notable guests.

Through this engagement, participants gained a deeper understanding of how safe, legal, and informed migration contributes positively to youth development and how irregular migration can endanger lives and limit opportunities.

As an organization devoted to empowering and educating youths, the Better Youth Association encourages all young people to take part in such meaningful programs that promote knowledge, awareness, and responsible decision-making.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and all partners for their tireless effort in organizing this impactful program.

NIGERIAN YOUTHS, GET YOUR PVC

The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by INEC has officially begun across all State and Local Government INEC offices nationwide.

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Mondays – Fridays)
Deadline: 30th August 2026

Who Should Participate?

All Nigerians 18 years and above who have never registered before.

Citizens who wish to transfer their voter registration (within or across states).

Those whose PVCs are lost, damaged, or defaced.

Registered voters needing to update or correct their information.

Why You Must Register:
Your Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is not just an ID — it is your power, your voice, and your future. With it, you decide the direction of leadership, governance, and development in Nigeria.

Our Call at Better Youth Association:
We urge every Nigerian youth to take this opportunity seriously. Do not wait for deadlines, and do not sit back. Mobilize your friends, neighbors, classmates, and community members. The future of Nigeria is in our hands, and it begins with a PVC.

Remember: Your Vote is Your Voice. Your PVC is Your Power.

Dear Nigerian Youths,

If you’re passionate about civic engagement, it's time to take a step further—get involved in politics. Join a political party, advocate for good governance, and hold your leaders accountable. If your representative is not doing well, speak up. Constructively criticize, highlight issues in your community, and demand the fulfillment of campaign promises.

If you have good ideas that can benefit your community, don’t just watch—contest and get involved. We are capable of holding any position. Statistics show that youth make up over 70% of Nigeria’s population—we are the majority, and we have the power to make a difference.

Use your voice to create positive change. Don’t stay silent when things are going wrong. If you can’t change things with your hands, use your voice. You have the right to speak.

Stay away from drug abuse. Focus on education, skills, and your future. Political parties and leadership are not for violence—they are platforms to serve and make a positive impact.

Your future is in your hands. Choose wisely. Act boldly. Lead responsibly.

INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE & ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

Today, we stand united with the world to raise awareness and take action against drug abuse—a silent destroyer of dreams, health, and potential.

At Better Youth Association (BYA), our mission is clear:
To educate, empower, and engage youth in the fight against drug abuse and all forms of addiction.

Drugs don’t build futures. Purpose does.
Let’s choose skills, knowledge, and positive action over substances.

Together, we are building a generation that is drug-free, focused, and fearless.

Say NO to drugs.
Say YES to a better life.

I had the privilege of spearheading an SDGs Advocate Program at Sanda Girls Secondary School for my own school project for SDGS Advocate Programme Cahort 5, and I'm thrilled to share that it was a success.

Over the past few weeks, we have discussed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their importance and relevance in our daily lives. From combating climate change to promoting quality education and gender equality, good health and well-being, and other goals of SDGS,.

As the program concluded, I couldn't be prouder of the impact we'd made. Not only have we raised awareness about the SDGs, but we've also inspired a new generation of leaders committed to driving sustainable development.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this initiative, especially the students and staff at Sanda Girls Secondary School. Together, we've taken a significant step towards building a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable future.
