Report on Hygiene Promotion Activities at Aliyu Mustafa IDP Camp

Activity conducted
Distribution of Hygiene Kits: Essential hygiene kits containing items such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads, and other personal care products were distributed to families within the camp. This aimed to provide immediate access to necessary hygiene supplies.

A three-day close-out forum was recently convened by the Love Alliance Nigeria project for its partners at the Bon Octagon Hotel in Abuja. The Progressive Women Foundation attended as a key contributing partner. The forum entailed a comprehensive review of their four-year journey, focusing on summarizing achievements, challenges, and lessons learned to inform future strategies.
Reflecting on Achievements and Impact
Throughout the forum, partners, including the Progressive Women Foundation, participated in an in-depth reflection on their individual organizational successes and collective accomplishments over the past four years. A pivotal point of discussion centered on identifying key contributors to their growth and impact, underscoring the collaborative spirit that fueled their work.
Addressing Challenges and Finding Solutions
The event provided a crucial platform for partners to openly discuss the greatest obstacles faced and the effective strategies employed to overcome them. This candid exchange fostered a shared understanding of common hurdles and innovative solutions.
Extracting Lessons Learned and Shaping Future Strategies

Help For progressive Women Foundation (HELPROWF) had the opportunity to participate in a two-day training on Inclusive WASH, held from 25th–26th June 2025 at Mamma Chare Hotel, Karewa GRA, Yola North.

The training was organized by CBM International under the Leave No One Behind IV (LNOB IV) project, in partnership with the Adamawa State Ministry of Water Resources.

The sessions focused on the IASC Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action, with a spotlight on the WASH sector.

Key areas covered included:
1. Understanding and removing barriers to inclusive WASH
2. Using the GADSI approach (Gender, Age, Disability, and Social Inclusion)
3. Promoting fair and accessible services for everyone

The training brought together partners from NGOs and government agencies, all working toward a more inclusive and supportive WASH environment.

This training is in line with what we do at Life Help For Progressive Women Foundation (Helprowf), where we are passionate about delivering inclusive, safe, and accessible services especially to the marginalized people.

Many thanks to CBM International and the Adamawa State Ministry of Water Resources for this meaningful learning opportunity.
