Facilitated by the CCI, Hon Salihu Mohammed (Abba Girei) has fulfilled his promise with a full scholarship for Aisha Ahmed Girei, who scored 333 in the 2025 UTME.

She emerged top in Adamawa state, and has gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery at Gombe State University.

And having visited Government Secondary School Girei yesterday, we call the 2025 Career Talk programme a wrap!

Sincere appreciation goes to the authorities and teachers of the 5 targeted secondary schools in Girei—GSS Girei III, GSS Bajabure, GSS Jabbi Lamba, Hairu Golden Science & Technical School, and GSS Girei, for supporting the sessions and providing a conducive environment.

Most importantly, heartfelt thanks to the Community Catalyst Initiatives team—Ibraheem GY, El Yazeed Muhammad Girei, Wakili Hoto Girei, other volunteers, and myself—whose dedication, hard work and sacrifice made this program a success.

Today, we continued the Career Talk program at Government Secondary School Bajabure in Girei LGA, inspiring and engaging students from SS1–SS3.

We had meaningful conversations about discovering career paths, making informed choices, and taking practical steps toward building a successful future.

COMMUNITY CATALYST INITIATIVES – 2024/2025 SPELLING BEE COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS

Last year, we successfully organized our maiden Spelling Bee Competition, featuring 20 secondary schools across Girei LGA, in Adamawa state.

It was an exciting multi-stage competition designed to inspire learning, boost confidence, and promote academic excellence.

5. Hairu Golden Academy
6. GDSS Jabbi Lamba
7. GDSS Wuro Dole
8. GDSS Jera Bakari
9. GDSS Ruwo Amsami
10. Manaf Academy Jabbi-Lamba
11. GDSS Koh
12. GDSS Goron
13. GDSS Tambo
14. GDSS Tambo (Jumoh)
15. GDSS Bokofi
16. GDSS Vonuklang
17. GDSS Bajabure
18. GDSS Damare/Dakri
19. GDSS Lainde/Badirisa
20. GDSS Federal Housing

After an intense and inspiring final round, the winners emerged and cash priszes as follows:

1st Place: GDSS Damare/Dakri — ₦30,000
2nd Place: Darul Hijrah Academy — ₦20,000
3rd Place: GDSS Bajabure — ₦15,000
4th Place: Manaf Academy — ₦10,000

In addition, all 60 participants (three from each school) received JAMB registration fee scholarships, reaffirming our commitment to supporting educational advancement in our communities.

This initiative marks a significant step in our mission to empower young minds and create positive community impact through learning.

We appreciate everyone involved toward this success.
