I welcome everyone to this historic event. I bring to you the greetings and loyalty of our great party men and women of Adamawa State. The formal declaration of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, GCON (Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 – 2007), has put to rest the speculations as to whether he will run or not in 2023. Today, we are all witnesses to this testament which is undoubtedly the first of its kind in our great party as we match to the 2023 decision hour of Nigeria. Now that Atiku has declared, I want to equally declare that we are 100% behind him. Our support for him to lead Nigeria brokers no fraction. We have long passed that point where we shall be asked to support our own. We are at a point where we are calling on our friends across the country to support this longest aspiration for a greater Nigeria.

For us in Adamawa State, as always, His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar represents Adamawa’s special treasure to Nigeria. His commitment to the unity, growth and development of Nigeria is not in doubt. The patriotic aspiration to serve a country that admittedly gave him everything has not only been consistent but unwavering. It is not for nothing that he is probably, the most experienced person in the race at the moment; not only in our great party but in the country. Perhaps, God has kept this aspiration burning and delayed the victory for a special purpose and time. Kotun Ƙolin Najeriya ta yi watsi da doka mai lamba goma wadda aka fi sani da "Presidential Executive Order No. 00-10 of 2020" wadda ta bayar da umarni ga babban akanta janar na Najeriya ya cire kuɗaɗe kai tsaye daga alawus-alawus na jihohi domin bai wa ɓangarorin shari'a na jihohi.

Alƙalan Kotun Ƙolin ƙasar duka waɗanda s**a yi zama a ranar Juma'a sun amince da cewa dokar da shugaban ƙasar Muhammadu Buhari ya yi ta saɓa ƙa'idar kundin tsarin mulki.

A bara ne babban lauyan gwamnatin Najeriya ya shigar da ƙara a gaban Kotun Ƙolin Najeriya domin ƙalubalantar halarcin dokar mai lamba goma wadda gwamnatin ƙasar ta yi a bara domin ta sakar wa ɓangarorin shari'a da ma'aikatan majalisu na jihohi mara su samu kuɗinsu kai tsaye daga tarayya.

Leadership is less about balance and more about priority. The best leaders are ruthless in their pursuit of focus. Those leaders who lack the focus and attention to detail needed to apply leverage and resources in an aggressive and committed fashion will perish. Leaders who are not intentional and are not focused, will fail themselves and their team. Leaders who lack discipline will model the wrong behaviors and will inevitably spread themselves too thin. Organizations are at the greatest risk when leaders lose their focus. Intentions must be aligned with results for leaders to be effective.

This paper examines the role of cooperative societies in economic development. The aim is to investigate the ways in which cooperatives can act as agents towards sustainable community development. The paper is a descriptive survey, which involves the collection of data for the purpose of describing the role of cooperative societies in economic development. The paper posits that for over 160 years now cooperatives have been an effective way for people to exert control over their economic livelihoods as they play an increasingly important role in facilitating job creation, economic growth and social development. The paper concludes that to be effective and successful, cooperatives must continuously achieve two inter-related goals: enhance viability and improve ability to service its members; and remain an economically viable, innovative and competitive enterprise.
