What if access to information, opportunities, and services wasnβt limited by geography, ability, or circumstance?
, Under the project "Empowering women and girls with disabilitities towards full and effective participation and gender equality in Adamawa State" with support from and UN Women, we established the Inclusive Digital Hub in Michika and Madagali a community-driven space where persons with disabilities and other marginalised groups can connect with the world, build skills, and access life-enhancing opportunities.
In places where connectivity is limited and digital literacy remains a barrier, the Digital Hub provides:
π» Access to devices and connectivity
π Digital skills training and support
π Information on education, health, livelihoods, and opportunities
π Assistance with online services, registrations, and applications
π€ A safe, welcoming environment where learning is shared and inclusive
For many persons with disabilities in rural communities, the Hub is more than technology, it is a gateway to participation, independence, and empowerment.
When digital spaces are inclusive, barriers begin to fall.
When information is accessible, opportunities grow.
When skills are shared, futures expand.
At DKF, we believe the digital world should be a space of opportunity not exclusion and we are committed to digital inclusion that uplifts, connects, and empowers because no one should be left behind in the digital age.
