Our Story
KHAN was established in 2008 with the broad goal of engaging in community development. KHAN is a non-profit, non-government organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). KHAN’s thematic areas of work are in health, education and livelihoods, protection of the rights of women and children and conflict management and response. Our core target groups are vulnerable children, youths and women. KHAN is governed by a vibrant, gender balanced board of trustees (BOT) which ensures the fidelity of the organization to its mission and objectives. The BOT delegates the day to day running of the organization to a management team made up of the Executive Director and the Heads of Finance, Admin and Monitoring and Evaluation departments. KHAN uses community and expert volunteers and hires exceptional staff to achieve her mandate.
