*The Branch Chairman raised concerns over the inability of JUSUN members to rise to the position of permanent secretary like their counterpart in the mainstream civil service, while acknowledging that he recognized the the fact that the challenge is imposed by law, and promised to initiate a conversation with the appropriate authorities and the Union intended towards changing the narrative.*

*In his response, the Chairman of the State JUSUN, Comrade Temekori Direkebamoh, equally expressed gratitude for the visit. He referred to a similar trend, where JUSUN members could not rise to grade level 17, but with proper dialogue with the authority, its members can now rise to that level.*

*The JUSUN Chairman appealed for better understanding between the two bodies. He observed that where a member of JUSUN is found wanting on his job, such conduct should be brought to the attention of the Union Executive, and the issue will be properly addressed, instead of reporting members to the Management at any slightest provocation.*

*In conclusion, the JUSUN Chairman appreciated the Branch for the visit.*
*He requested the Branch to extend the gratitude of the Union to the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon. Justice Matilda Abrakassa Ayemieye, for her commitment to staff welfare especially in the area of conducive working environment amongst several others.*
