The Bayelsa State Peace Architecture (SPA), in partnership with Search for Common Ground (SFCG), has embarked on a series of engaging peacebuilding activities aimed at strengthening unity and social cohesion across the state.
The program featured a road show, which attracted large participation from community members, civil society groups, and youth organizations. With music, placards, and chants of peace, the road show served as an awareness drive, sensitizing residents on the importance of dialogue, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
Following this, a community dialogue session provided an inclusive platform for stakeholders to share perspectives on conflict prevention, reconciliation, and sustainable peace initiatives. The interactive discussions highlighted the role of collaboration in resolving disputes and fostering mutual understanding.
To further cement the spirit of unity, the event rounded off with a peace football match, where rival youth groups came together to play, demonstrating that sports can bridge divides and promote harmony.
