A HEARTFELT APPEAL TO ALL IYC CENTRAL ZONE DELEGATES

As we approach the 1st August, 2026 Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone elections, I passionately appeal to every privileged delegate to remember that your vote is a sacred trust given to you by the entire Ijaw Nation.

Do not allow temporary financial inducements to determine the future of our Council. Money may satisfy today's needs, but it cannot repair the damage caused by years of poor leadership. The challenges confronting the IYC today are reminders of what happens when competence and service are sacrificed for personal gain.

As delegates, you are not just voters—you are the custodians of the dreams of our founding fathers and worthy representatives of the ideals of Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro. Let your conscience guide your decision. Reject vote-buying, reject imposition, and reject every attempt to mortgage the future of our great organization.

The Ijaw Youth Council was founded on the noble principle of "Service Before Reward," not "Reward Before Service." This is the time to restore the dignity, credibility, and unity of our Council by electing leaders with proven commitment, capacity, and vision.

I humbly solicit your support and your vote for Comr. Lucky Oyakemeagbegha Wilson as Mobilisation Officer, IYC Central Zone. Together, let us build a stronger, united, and more progressive IYC for the benefit of every Ijaw youth.

On 1st August, 2026, vote your conscience. Vote for integrity. Vote for competence. Vote for genuine service.

RT. Hon. Comr. Timila Austin Ayekite 001 commander in chief of all intellectual properties

BAYELSA YOUTHS MUST NOT BE SILENCED: OUR CALL FOR JUSTICE STANDS, OUR SOLIDARITY WORK REMAINS SACROSANCT

SECOND PRESS STATEMENT

The Bayelsa Comrade Family, under the leadership of RT. Hon. Comr. Timila Austin Ayekite (001), Commander in Chief of All Intellectual Properties, hereby issues this second press statement following recent developments surrounding the matter involving the Azikiel Aviation Training Scheme (Azikiel Aviation Scholarship Programme) and the ongoing legal issues connected thereto.

Today, the President General held a peaceful and constructive meeting with Comr. Alagoa A. Morris environmental activist alongside Mr. Kariyai Darakoru in continuation of efforts aimed at promoting dialogue, understanding, and a peaceful resolution of the issues affecting our youths.

While the engagement was cordial and fruitful, our position as contained in our earlier press statement remains unchanged. We continue to call on the Bayelsa State Government, the Judiciary, relevant authorities, civil society organizations, and all stakeholders to intervene and ensure that justice prevails.

The Bayelsa Comrade Family firmly believes that our youths deserve encouragement, empowerment, and opportunities to excel. They should never be subjected to intimidation, humiliation, victimization, or any action capable of discouraging their aspirations and future prospects.

We once again reaffirm our solidarity with Mr. Kariyai Darakoru and Mr. Yebei Ebilate Yebei , whom we recognize as promising and outstanding youths of Bayelsa State. Their quest for justice is not theirs alone; it is a concern for every youth who believes in fairness, equal opportunity, and the rule of law.

In our earlier press statement, we clearly stated our intention to organize a lawful and peaceful solidarity work Come next week Tuesday
