The Nigerian Air Force conducted precision strikes on ISWAP targets on Saturday particularly at the long-abandoned repurposed Jilli market in Borno State which the terrorist group had been using as an operational base.

Anyone patronising that market must reckon with the reality that they were either unwittingly enabling ISWAP’s activities or consciously participating in its economic network.

Like most terrorist organisations seeking territorial control, ISWAP does not operate in isolation. It systematically establishes governance, military, and commercial structures to sustain its operations. When the state moves to dismantle such a network, it cannot afford to act selectively—every component of that structure becomes a legitimate target. Governments do not negotiate with terrorists over which elements of their operations should be spared.

Jilli market had, by all credible accounts, evolved into a terrorist stronghold. Intelligence—both historical and recent—indicates that ISWAP used the location for logistics, coordination, and operational planning.

Thankful to voices of Governor Babagana Zulum and General T.Y. Buratai, who have provided critical context to this conversation, and helped steer public discourse away from the erroneous conclusion that civilians were the intended targets.

Let’s be guided!

I have listened to all the noise about Ohiri and money and I have these questions for Ohiri to answer:

1) How did Ohiri come to know Umahi? Date and phone conversations.
2) What are the communications between them before the said business and after the business for the said 12 years. Where are the call logs? Provide phone numbers and text messages
3) In May 14th, 2023, the very first time Ohiri reached Umahi phone number was “hello” for someone who was said to be owing you for years.
4) Ohiri should list five of Umahi’s aides that she encountered while coming to do business with Umahi. (security and non-security aides)
5) Ohiri should provide where she printed the said gift items.
6) Ohiri should provide hard copies of the said pictures given to her to do the gift items (because pictures being shown are pictures of Umahi as Governor)
7) In the said campaign period, did Ohiri not meet any other single person but only Umahi.
😎 How long did it take Ohiri to agree with Umahi on the said contract. Where is the said quotation, did Umahi not price, where is the delivery notes and who signed it.
9) Ohiri should provide evidence of her house she said she sold in Lekki to do the Job, account number, house location. 10) Ohiri should provide evidence and receipt of the Hotel she said she slept when she visited Ebonyi state for the business.

MY TAKE ON THIS MATTER
1. It is so sad for someone’s character to be destroyed without evidence.
2. It is sad for someone out of greed to be used to destroy a character like that of Umahi.
3. I spoke to Umahi’s media aide, and he told me that Umahi said Barr Marshal is a very good man based on his selfless effort to help Ohiri. He told me that Umahi’s friends offered to rehabilitate the woman and help her to check herself mentally
by providing help. That Barr Marshall begged Umahi to step down the court cases which he agreed and listed conditions which the woman unfortunately published on social media
without the consent of her lawyer and in doing so reneged on the agreed conditions which never included money or compensation.
4. I wonder why people should believe the woman without considering the fact that you cannot place something on nothing and expect it to stand.
5. If those fighting for the woman without evidence should believe the lies of Ohiri against her lawyer, Barr Marshal (of which Umahi said were all lies against Marshal but happy for Barr Marshal to know the person he was fighting for), it means that all she has been saying about Umahi are lies.
6. Go and trace the character of the woman: Ohiri and Shekarau the former Governor of Kano State, Ohiri vs Adeotun and her husband, Ohiri and her said one time lawyer Festus Keyamo, SAN, Ohiri
and the woman she said slapped her husband, Ohiri and Umahi, Ohiri and VDM and now Ohiri and her lawyer Barr Marshal. They are all on social media, so that you come to know the character we are dealing with. A woman who would record her Lawyers phone conversations and uploaded same on social media to destroy a man who selflessly opted to help her.
7. Umahi’s friends have vowed that Umahi must continue with all the court cases and to pay for the woman to hire the best lawyers for her defense (amount must be approved in writing
first by Umahi’s friends before engaging them). Umahi and his friends want the truth and to use the case to protect men and women who may suffer similar unfortunate incident in the
future.
8. Umahi believes in God and that despite the court judgement, that God will examine every one of us who got involved in this case and will bless us all according to our intentions and deeds.
Umahi believes that God is above all of us and that it is important to have the fear of God because when we lie to destroy another it is a loan and for this case, I am confident
that the loan maturity is here and God will soon pay all of us. 9. Umahi told me that he does not care about the lies of the woman or the said noise out there as he is not a social media.
10. person but that the truth is in the truth
May God protect the innocent and forgive the liars.

He stated that what began as a convergence of Commands and Formations has matured into a powerful demonstration of unity, resilience, and shared purpose.

IGP Egbetokun also noted that the theme, “Beyond the Badge: Excellence in Action,” was seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the Games, manifesting through mutual respect among the competitors. He emphasised that the physical discipline of sports directly translates to operational readiness and better service delivery.

While declaring the Games closed, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday John Onyeme, FCA, PhD, commended the Nigeria Police Force for demonstrating discipline, dignity, and dedication beyond the badge. He reaffirmed Delta State’s commitment to supporting sports as a vehicle for unity, youth development, and national progress.

Anyways, the Federal Capital Territory High Court has issued an interim injunction restraining activist Omoyele Sowore and the online platform Sahara Reporters from publishing further material concerning the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, his office, family members, and related matters deemed defamatory.

The court order, obtained by Swift Reporters, also specifically restrained the defendants from publishing content alleged to be defamatory and derogatory of Victor Egbetokun, including claims that he received N100 million from Anambra State security votes. The order further bars any degrading or defamatory publications against Bukola Kuti, an Assistant Commissioner of Police.
