On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, 18 new Permanent Secretaries were officially sworn in at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Yenagoa, by the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri.
The ceremony also included the swearing-in of:

The Commissioner for Women, Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Joanah Gigi
Formal appointment letters were subsequently issued on February 26, 2026, by the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission.
