It was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja on October 20, 2015 with registration Number CAC/IT/NO 81729. SACA has 7 Board of Trustees members that comprised 5 males and

2 females. SACA was conceived to pragmatically engage multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region to improve their practices in the management of the environment, delivery of social responsibilities in communities, and respect for human rights and humanitarian laws.
