Christian Youths in Bayelsa State has been urged to position themselves for greater responsibility in whatever leadership role they are called upon to serve both in government and the society.

The State Chairman of CAN Bayelsa State, Very Rev Father Joseph Obelema, gave the charged at the One day Youth empowerment and wealth creation summit, organized by Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN) at the Redeemed Glory Family Church Agudama-Epie.

He said the future of the church and the State belongs to the Youths and therefore the youths should endvour to work together in oneness, in propagating the gospel of Christ and make their voices to be heard whenever the needs arises and not relegating themselves to the background.

In statement signed by the State Media Director of YOWICAN, AP Daniel Ebikienmo Solomon and made available to Journalist in Yenagoa, Said the number one Christian in the State further stressing the important of the youths in the development of every nations, as he appreciate YOWICAN for taking a stand to change the narrative.

Earlier on, in his welcome address the State Chairman of YOWICAN, Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe, said the Youth Empowerment and Wealth Creation summit, is a deliberate attempt to equip Christian Youth with skills that will make them self sufficient in the society, despite the current economic woes in the country.

He encouraged members of YOWICAN to implement what they have learnt from skills empowerment summit to be self sufficient and contribute to the body of Christ.

Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe, advised Christian Youths to unite in faith as one family in other too propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ, as leadership of tomorrow and not to be seen as people whose action will dent the image of Christ.

The CAN State Director of Youths, Pastor Godspower Ethe, in his brief message, while speaking on the theme, Youth Empowerment and Wealth Creation, urges the Christians youths to make themselves meaningful and creative in order to create wealth and impact the society.

Pastor Godspower Ethe, said in every endeavor, profession and career path, that any Christian or Youth find him/herself they should be worthy ambassadors of Christ by placing the things of God first before seeking there individual benefits.

He further highlighted that in other for YOWICAN to be properly position to achieve his goals all members both past and present leadership should work together as one family in accordance with the principals of love and unity and not to be operating in division, in the body of Christ.

Delivering his lecture on Computer Programming Coding Language, the ICT consultant and facilitator, Mr Angel Michael, task Christian Youths in the to venture into skills which will enable them contribute to the larger society meaningfully.

He said they are many opportunities in the ICT sector, and only limited person has been able to venture into the sector, he therefore encourage Youths in the State to engage in computer language programming skills, which is an easiest mean to wealth creation and fortune for themselves.

The ICT consultant and facilitator, Mr Angel Michael, he said some of the economy difficulties faced by Youths is as a result of not having the rightful knowledge to become innovative and be self sufficient.

While offering to mentor some interested members of YOWICAN in the area of computer programming language and coding, he caution those that are going to be trained not to mischief by misusing the opportunity in the future.

The Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) Bayelsa State Chapter, will be organizing a one day Youth empowerment and wealth creation summit as part of activities to mark the end of tenure of the present State Executive led by Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe.

The Youth Empowerment and Wealth Creation summit is empowered to provide Christian Youths in the State with basic knowledge of wealth creation in a digital economy.

Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe, said the Special Guest of Honor is the Immediate Past Special Advisor to Governor Douye Diri on Religious Affairs, Rev Godspower Asingba, the State Chairman of CAN Bayelsa State Chapter,, Very Rev Father Joseph Obelema is the Guest of Honor and while the State Chairman of CPFN/PFN Pastor Dr, Tam Seth Eyedoude, is the Chief host of the occasion.

The Host, Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe, further stated that the Guest Speaker is Pastor Godspower Ethe, while Mr Angel Michael, a Professional ICT consultant is the resources person.

The YOWICAN State Media Director, Apostle Daniel Ebikienmo Solomon, in a statement signed and issued to Journalist on Tuesday 9th of April 2024, on behalf of the YOWICAN Bayelsa State Chairman Rev Canon Undukon Gbinikirighe, encouraged youths from across the State to attend the event.

He stated that the summit will be impactful to them as some of the specialized areas for the training will be website designing and programming among others.

According to the statement the summit is scheduled to hold at, The Redeemed Glory Family Church, Agudama-Epie, on Wednesday 10th April 2024, by 10am prompt.

He also stated that YOWICAN will recognize some outstanding personalities in the state with an award of excellence for their services to God and humanity.

The Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria YOWICAN, wishes to inform the general public that the earlier planned one day sensitization rally tugged "BAYELSA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION NON-VIOLANCE RALLY" schedule to hold on Saturday 21st of October 2023, has been called off.

This is due to unforeseen circumstances being on the planning committee and to also allowed blocs to properly mobilize their members to attend the rally in-mass.

YOWICAN, regrets any inconvenience the change of date may have caused the general public and her members, as the new date is now 4th November 2023.

The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) Bayelsa State Chapter, wishes to invite all Christian Youths in the state to a one-day election sensitization rally.

In a statement signed by the State Media and Publicity Director of YOWICAN, Apostle Daniel Ebikienmo Solomon titled: PEACEFUL RALLY FOR NON-VIOLENT GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION.

The statement stated that the Peaceful Rally is slated to be held on Saturday 21st October 2023, in Yenagoa and the takeoff point is Tombia Roundabout to Peace Park by 8am.

YOWICAN is calling on all Christian youths to come out and participate as there will be free Yowican polo at the takeoff point.

Please note: this is not a political rally and no one is expected to come with any political party logo, T-shirt, or Cap.

The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria YOWICAN, Bayelsa State Chapter has expressed worry over the violence recorded during the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) mock accreditation exercise held on Saturday 14th October 2023, in the state.

The State Chairman Rev Undukon Gbinikirighe, condemned the act and described it as a serious threat to the conduct of a desired peaceful governorship election in the state, also said the poor turn up from the citizens too is not encouraged.

In a statement issued by the Director Media and Publicity YOWICAN Bayelsa State Chapter, Apostle Daniel Ebikienmo Solomon, quote the YOWICAN State Chairman, Rev Undukon Gbinikirighe, “used the opportunity to remind the youths that the election in Bayelsa State, should be peaceful and violent free without any intimidation from political parties and security agencies.

He stated that for Bayelsans to elect a governor that would create jobs, develop the Education and Health sector, and human capital development which will come with vocational skills to improve lives in the state, the Youths should see themselves as critical stakeholders and not allow themselves to be political tugs.”

Rev Undukon Gbinikirighe, insisted that the barbaric act was a wake-up call to all critical stakeholders involved especially the security agencies in the state, and called for a proper investigation to ensure that the perpetrators of the act are brought to book.

According, to the statement Rev Undukon Gbinikirighe, cautioned that acquiring political powers must not be seen as a do-or-die affair, said political parties and their candidates must call their supporters to protect the sanity of the country's democracy.

Stressing that the security agencies must rise to the occasion, argued that if nothing deliberate is not done to address the situation, could lead to voter apathy among eligible voters in the state.

The YOWICAN State Chairman, Rev Undukon Gbinikirighe, also called on the relevant security agencies to initiate the signing of the Peace Accord which would prevail on all those in the race to eschew violence in any form, to play a fair game and also to accept the outcome of the results as declared by the umpire in good faith.

Christian Youths in Bayelsa State Celebrates Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on his Birthday @58

The State executives and entire youths of the Christian Association of Nigeria YOWICAN, Bayelsa State Chapter have congratulated the Bayelsa State Deputy Gov, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, as he turned 58.

This was contained in a congratulatory message made available by the state director of media YOWICAN, in Yenagoa, Apostle Daniel Ebikienmo Solomon.

The State Chairman Rev Undukon T Gbinikirigha, described Sen. Lawrence
Ewhrudjakpo, as a workaholic, resourceful, dedicated, and highly dependable visionary leader with an unequal passion for the growth, progress, and socioeconomic development of the state.

According to the statement, they have every cause to give God the glory for bestowing on us a visionary, detribalized, and highly committed leader in the person of Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

The statement said the celebrant gained on many occasions, since assuming office, showed his immense love and commitment towards actualizing the desired transformation envisioned for the state, as they pray to God to grant him sound health and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
