Nigeria strengthens position as a leading country on innovative SDGs financing with high-level experience exchange with Ethiopia on INFF

For three days, Abuja hosted the Nigeria–Ethiopia Experience Exchange on the Implementation of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF), a landmark South-South cooperation initiative designed to promote peer learning, knowledge exchange and collaboration on innovative approaches to financing sustainable development and accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The programme brought together senior government officials, development partners, financing experts and members of the INFF Core Working Group from both countries to exchange experiences, best practices and lessons learned in the implementation and operationalisation of the INFF.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, OFR; the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele; the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Nigeria, Ms. Elsie Attafuah; and the Leader of the Ethiopian Delegation, Mr. Solomon Tesfassilassie.

The experience exchange further strengthened bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Ethiopia while reinforcing both countries' commitment to mobilising innovative financing solutions for sustainable development and the successful implementation of the SDGs.
