OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE ISOKO YOUTH ASSEMBLY (IYA)

The leadership of the Isoko Youth Association (IYA) wishes to inform all members, partners, and stakeholders that all matters previously impeding the smooth functioning of the Youth Group have been amicably and conclusively resolved.

This positive outcome was achieved through the timely intervention and exemplary leadership of our esteemed National Leader, Chief Kome Okpobor, Executive Director, Finance and Administration (EDFA), DESOPADEC.

The Association hereby urges all members to uphold the values of peace, unity, and mutual respect, regardless of personal differences, as we collectively strive towards the continued growth, stability, and advancement of our great organization.

We remain committed to fostering cooperation and building a stronger, more vibrant Isoko Youth Association in the service of the Isoko Nation.

Oborevwori Urges Delta Youths to join military, Paramilitary services

Governor of Delta State, Dr (Elder) Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has again appealed to all mentally, medically and physically fit youths in the state to apply for the ongoing 89th Regular recruits intake of the Nigerian Army.

The Governor made the appeal through the State Awareness Creation Committee on Youth Enlistment into Military and Paramilitary services, chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister ThankGod Harry Trakiriowei, on Tuesday at Oniocha-South and Warri South West Local Government Areas sensitization for youth enrolment in the ongoing 89th Regular recruits intake of the Nigerian Army.

The Governor disclosed that the closing date for applicants of Delta State origin has been extended from 17th to 24rh May, 2025 due to glitches experienced online, while listing some of the benefits of serving in the Military to include; juicy salary, opportunity to further education to any level at the expense of the federal government, and that service in the military and paramilitary is pensionable, prestigious and fulfilling.

The state governor urged all eligible youths to apply online free of charge at the Nigerian Army Recruitment official website; https://recruitment.army.mil.ng

He disclosed that the Army has reviewed the entry qualification downward from 4 credit passes at two sitting to 4 passes only, including English language for all applicants, Trades and Non-Trades men and women in the ongoing Nigerian Army 89th Regular recruits intake, making it very attractive for youths to get enlisted.
