THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SALVATION AND TRANSFORMATION
Salvation is not transformation and transformation is not salvation. Meaning, you can be saved and yet not transformed.
Many believers are confused when they are not transformed after salvation. They ask a question like, I thought coming to the Lord Jesus would save me from this addiction, heal me, get me this and that etc. I thought Jesus would heal my sickness after salvation?
*Well, Salvation doesn't automatically remove your addiction, or lustful desire or heal your diseases. Salvation doesn't transform you instantly the day you believe or receive Jesus Christ. Salvations only brings you eternal life instantly the day you believe. Salvation means, being saved from the destruction that is coming.
1 Timothy 2:3β-β¬4 KJV
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Paul said, God, desires for everyone to be SAVED, then come UNTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. Most believers fulfilled the first part and rejected the second part. They are saved but refuse to come to the knowledge of the truth and this is where satan beat many down.
Once a person believes in Jesus Christ, he or she become righteous by faith. However, that doesn't bring him a transforming life on the outside. It doesn't change anything according to the flesh. The flesh and mind have never experienced salvation the day you believe. Everything happened in the heart.
After salvation, if you were sick before you got saved, you remain sick after you are saved. If you were stupid before salvation, you will remain stupid after you got salvation. If you were dummy before you got saved, you will remain, dummy, after you got saved. If you were ignorant before you got saved, you will remain ignorant after you got saved because salvation has nothing to do with the transformation of life.
You must receive wisdom just as you receive salvation to make you a wise person. You must receive healing just as you receive salvation to make you well.
Salvation doesn't bring you knowledge or wisdom automatically. This is why, after salvation, you must sit down to renew your mind through hearing or meditation. Don't go out there and be doing unnecessary confession like: I am the head and not the tail. I this and I that bla bla bla.
If you desire life transformation, wisdom, knowledge, healing and so on, you must download them from your spirit mind via renewing of the mind. Your transformation comes through the renewing of the mind. It is working on your mind that will brings you the transformation of life. If you don't renew your mind after salvation, you will live the same way you were before you got born of God.
This is where satan beat some of you down with so many deadly thoughts making you doubt if truly this gospel is true, why am I not experiencing some changing in life? Well, salvation has nothing to do with physical change or feeling. Renewing of mind does.
Your life transformation depends on you feeding yourself with the Gospel. Until you renew your mind with the gospel of truth, you can never experience life transformation. You can never reign as a believer. You can never change inside out. Because salvation is not transformation.
Salvation saved you from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of life. While transformation changes you from being carnal-minded into spiritual-minded via renewing of the mind. Renewing of mind helps you to take charge of the enemies of darkness. Until you renew your mind to discover the truth, you can never reign over the enemy.
Forget about healing, change, transformation, wisdom, knowledge, authority, if you refuse to renew your mind with the gospel. It is coming to the knowledge of the truth that awakes you to your rightful position in Christ.
Romans 12:1β-β¬2 KJV
1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Salvation comes by faith in Christ without your works but transformation comes by working on yourself, that is putting on the knowledge of Christ daily. Your transformation doesn't come by faith. It comes by you putting off the old man by putting on the new man via renewing of your mind.
Colossians 3:8β-β¬10 KJV
8. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10. And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
If you desire life of transformation, then work on your mind. It doesn't come by faith or automatic. It is your work to make sure, you put off all the works of the flesh via renewing of the mind. if you refuse to renew your mind, you will remain just as you were before salvation.
Stay blessed.
