Today, I celebrate the strength and resilience of every woman who's survived the unimaginable horrors of domestic violence and abuse.
With every step you took away from the darkness, you claimed back a piece of your soul. You proved that you are stronger than the chains that bound you, brighter than the shadows that hid you and more courageous than the voices that tried to silence you.
I see your scars, and I honour them. I see your tears, and I wipe them away. I see your fears, and I stand with you against them.
But today, I also remember those who didn't make it. Those who lost their lives in the process of trying to escape. Those whose voices were silenced forever.
May your memories live on in our hearts. May your sacrifices not be forgotten. May your legacies inspire us to continue fighting for a world where no woman has to suffer in silence.
To every survivor, I celebrate your strength, your resilience, and your refusal to be broken. You are a beacon of hope, a shining star in the darkness, and a testament to the unbreakable human spirit.
Keep shining, dear one. Keep rising. You are loved, you are valued, and you are ENOUGH.
Rest in peace to those who didn't make it. May your souls be at peace, and may your memories continue to inspire us to create a safer, more compassionate world for all.
