*AIMS*

1. To foster unity, peace and harmony amongst the Akwa Ibom people, both at home and in Diaspora towards a greater development and industrialization.

2. Provide skill acquisition, job readiness, enterprenship and leadership trainings to our members, to become self reliance, create wealth, employment and contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the State.

3. Groom, mentor and support young people to imbibe the spirit of excellence in their chosen field of human endeavour.

4. To curb youth restiveness and maintain peace in the State by constructively engaging them in developmental programs and productive ventures.

5. To stimulate collaboration and be a platform for young think tank to positively impact on the economic, social and political development of the State.

THE NEW BREED FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT REITERATES COMMITMENT TO TRAINING 10,000 ENTREPRENEURS

In pursuit of its target to empower 10,000 youths through its Free Entrepreneurship Programme, a leading non-governmental organization in Akwa Ibom State, The New Breed for Sustainable Development, on Monday, September 1, 2025, organized an orientation exercise for newly admitted trainees.

The sensitization session covered key vocational areas such as makeover, fashion design, leather works, ICT, and the newly introduced bamboo craft unit.

Speaking on behalf of the management, the State Secretary of the organization, Mrs. Abasiakan Pato commended the trainees for choosing the path of skill acquisition, self-reliance, and job creation. She urged them to take their training seriously, dress decently, and maintain proper conduct in their interactions.

Mrs. Pato further assured that participants would be issued certificates upon completion of the programme, while exit packages would be awarded to the most committed trainees, evaluated based on attendance, participation, classwork, and performance in both theoretical and practical examinations.

Also speaking, the Youth Leader, Comrade Wisdom Akpabio, emphasized the organization’s readiness to train, mentor, and guide young entrepreneurs, noting that a cooperative society would be formed to enable members to access funding opportunities for their businesses.

In their separate remarks, the trainers unanimously promised to deliver on their tasks while encouraging the new trainees to remain focused, respectful, and free to seek guidance whenever challenges arise.

The highlight of the sensitization was an interactive session, during which the trainees asked questions and received clarifications from the trainers.

The event concluded with the formal welcome of all participants into the new training session.
