Media Highlight of YALI Network AkwaIbom’s Women’s Hangout 2026
Last month, on Saturday, 28th March 2026, we hosted intentional and growth-driven women at the serene Gopius E-Learning Services, Uyo, in partnership with Griida Technologies, for an impactful experience at the YALI Women’s Hangout 2026.q
Organized in commemoration of International Women’s Day, this Hangout was a deliberate effort to bring the theme, “Give to Gain: Nurturing the Woman Within,” to life—creating a safe and honest space for reflection, connection, and personal growth.
With Leader Blessing Idung moderating, it was truly inspiring to have our facilitators lead powerful and practical sessions throughout the Hangout.
From the eloquent Barr. Yemeti Eyo, who delivered profound insights on women in leadership, self-mastery, and impact, to -Sharon Umoren, who enlightened participants on understanding and caring for their hair in the best and safest way possible,
and Pharm. Marvelene Ekott, our former Deputy State Coordinator and Director of Partnerships, who guided conversations on embracing wholeness through health, hygiene, and body care.
We also experienced a soul-lifting and mind-inspiring spoken word performance, from Ms Cletus Rosebeth which added depth and expression to the event.
Your contributions were thoughtful, relatable, and deeply enriching. We are sincerely grateful for your time and impact.
Despite the heavy rain, it was remarkable to host a room filled with resilient and committed individuals who chose growth against all odds.
Special recognition to Barr. Promise Ochibry , the current Deputy State Coordinator and Director of Partnership for the artful and engaging manner in which she introduced and welcomed all the speakers.
We did had a refreshing and relearning moment at this Hangout, while contributing to the empowerment of women in our network and Community.
