World Humanitarian Day 2026 🌍

Today, we celebrate people who choose to care, serve and show up for others.

World Humanitarian Day reminds us that humanity is not only about what we feel, but also about what we do.

Across communities, humanitarian workers, volunteers and everyday people continue to support those facing difficult circumstances.

Sometimes, helping means providing food or shelter. Other times, it means teaching a child, listening to someone, supporting a vulnerable person, speaking up for others or simply being present when it matters.

Today we are "Celebrating people who love helping people".

You may not be able to change the whole world, but you can make a difference in someone's world.

Today, we celebrate everyone who gives their time, resources, skills and heart to make life better for others.

Let us continue to choose compassion.
Let us continue to serve.
Let us continue to help people.

Today, members of YALI Network AkwaIbom Hub proudly joined Carelife Foundation and other partner organizations for the Ibom Open Maternity Project Road Walk, commemorating World Breastfeeding Week 2026.

Together, we raised our voices for healthier mothers, healthier babies, and stronger communities.

Ibom Open Maternity Project26: YALI Network AkwaIbom Hub in Partnership with Carelife Foundation

We are excited to announce that YALI Akwa Ibom Hub is partnering with CareLife Character Foundation for the Ibom Open Maternity (IOM) Project 2026 Road Walk, marking the commencement of the 2026 World Breastfeeding Week.

Date: Tomorrow, Saturday, 1st August 2026
Time: 7:00 AM
Take-off: The Globe, Barracks Road, Uyo
End Point: Unity Park, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to promoting maternal and child health, supporting safe breastfeeding practices, and advocating for healthier communities across Akwa Ibom State.
