It is our common position at Myrrh-Isemin Childhood Cancer Awareness Foundation, MCCAF, that Childhood Cancer awareness should not be limited to September. Because Children are diagnosed of one form of cancer or the other everyday in Nigeria.
Even though, we are months away from September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, MCCAF commitment to run a year-round project to educate and empower every parent in Nigeria about early detection and risk reduction remains eternally strong. We solicit that you support to make every month a month of Childhood Cancer awareness.
Tell your friends about childhood cancer now, is curable, but early detection is the key. Happy month of April.

MCCAF EASTER MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS
As we commonmerate the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ this season, may we remember that the central theme of his suffering revolved around Supernal love to human race. May we also duplicate the love of Christ as we sacrifice our resources in the spirit of love with little Samuel Effiong Philip, 4 years old from Ikot Ekwere Village, Okpom Clan, Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, who was diagnosed of a childhood cancer known RETINABLASTOMA in 2022. Since then, his parents and friends have been putting their extreme effort, financially and otherwise to see him through chemothrapy treatment at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar.
However, of recent, Myrrh-Isemin Childhood Cancer Awareness Foundation, MCCAF, a non-profit organization founded by Myrrh Isemin, a cancer patient that died in October, 28, 2023 primarily as a vehicle to create awareness about the myths and facts of childhood cancer have been assisting Samuel in her little way.
Just yesterday, the oncolgists at the UCTH, Calabar have recommended that Samuel should undergo a Brain scan and Radiothrapy, while he is still on his second circle of last nine circles of chemothrapy. On this note, we soliciting financial support from our readers on his behalf to pick up his expensive medical bills.
