GAMES AND POPCORN FELLOWSHIP! 🍿🎮

What an exciting evening of fun, laughter, and bonding! Our Games and Popcorn Fellowship was truly a memorable experience, bringing us together with fellow rotaractors and guests for an amazing time.

The highlight of the evening was our exciting team competition, featuring Team One vs. Team Two!
We played both vocal and audio charades, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, suspense, and friendly rivalry.

🏆 And the winner is... TEAM TWO! 🎊
Team Two emerged victorious with 11 points, while Team One scored 5 points. Congratulations to the winning team!

Beyond the games, it was a beautiful opportunity to connect, share laughter, and create wonderful memories with one another.

Indeed, it was an evening well spent ❤️

COMMUNITY ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

The Rotaract Club of Uyo City, in partnership with Rotary Club of Uyo Capital City, Zone 3 Akwa Ibom, and in collaboration with the Edinyang Foundation, carried out a Community Economic Empowerment Project aimed at creating opportunities and promoting economic independence within the community.

The project featured the donation of a sewing machine and filing machine to Mr. Kelly Sabasti, a person living with disability, to support his skill, livelihood and economic participation.
This initiative goes beyond the donation of equipment. It is about empowering individuals with the tools they need to become productive, independent and self-sustaining.

Through partnerships such as this, we continue to demonstrate the impact of Service Above Self by identifying needs within our communities and providing practical support that can create lasting change.

We are grateful to the Edinyang Foundation for serving as the lead partner and to everyone who contributed to making this project possible.

A Meaningful Engagement with Our District Governor

Today, Rotaractors across Akwa Ibom State had the privilege of engaging with our District Governor, Rtn. Chibuzo Asogwa, during his official visit to the Clubs of Akwa Ibom.

The interactive session provided an opportunity to discuss the well-being of Rotaractors, challenges facing our clubs, membership development, leadership and ways to strengthen our impact through service.

The District Governor listened to the concerns raised and offered practical guidance and solutions, while reaffirming the importance of a stronger relationship between Rotary and Rotaract.

He also encouraged Rotaractors to develop impactful activities that can attract new members, strengthen partnerships with Rotary Clubs and create lasting impact in our communities.

It was more than just an engagement. It was a valuable mentoring experience and a reminder of the important role Rotaractors play within the Rotary family.

Together, we listen. We learn. We serve. We create lasting impact.
Service Above Self.

129 bright-eyed students of Ooni Girls High School, Oke-Ogbo, gathered on a Wednesday morning, not knowing that the conversations they were about to have could plant seeds that would shape their future. 🌱

The project, “Prepare Today, Succeed Tomorrow,” was centered on helping these young girls understand the power of their choices, career decisions, daily habits, and the possibilities that exist beyond the classroom. 🎓

From meaningful conversations on career paths and personal development to an engaging session on the opportunities and challenges of social media, the students were encouraged to think differently, ask questions, and begin preparing intentionally for the future they desire.

The Q&A session was particularly inspiring. Hands went up, questions flowed, and the girls confidently shared their thoughts. Every thoughtful contribution was met with encouragement and a little token of appreciation, creating moments that brought genuine smiles to their faces. 🎁😊

At the heart of it all was a simple message: the future is built by the choices we make today.

As partners in this impactful initiative, Rotaract Club of Uyo City is proud to contribute to a project that promotes Basic Education & Literacy while empowering young minds to dream, prepare, and pursue their potential.

Our appreciation goes to NYSC Osun State Ife East Charity CDS, Rotary Club of Ile-Ife Metropolitan, and all partner clubs, including Rotaract Clubs of Uyo City, Hilltop, Calabar UNICAL, Abia State College of Health Sciences, Management Technology Aba, and E-Club of Bridge Builders for coming together to make this initiative possible. 🤝🏽

Because when we prepare young minds today, we give them a stronger foundation for tomorrow.

Prepare Today, Succeed Tomorrow. 💗

💛 *WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY*

“You are not alone, and your story is still unfolding. Hope lives in every heartbeat.”

As we mark World Su***de Prevention Day, the Rotaract District 9142 Medical Team joins the global community in raising awareness and reminding us that every life matters.

Behind every smile may be a story we know nothing about. A simple “Are you okay?”, a listening ear, a kind word, or reaching out to someone who is struggling can make a difference.

💛 Let’s talk.
💛 Let’s listen without judgment.
💛 Let’s reach out.
💛 Let’s choose hope and help others find theirs.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of su***de or feels unable to cope, please do not face it alone. Reach out to someone you trust or seek professional help.

Be the reason someone chooses to stay. 🫂💛

Let’s share this message and spread hope beyond our individual circles.

💙 ROTARACT MEMBERSHIP WEBINAR ’26 | BUILDING KNOWLEDGE, BUILDING MEMBERS

Membership is more than just belonging to a club. It is about understanding Rotaract, discovering opportunities, building meaningful connections, and finding your place in service and leadership.

As part of our efforts to promote the Rotaract Membership Webinar ’26, we took Rotaract beyond the online space through an engaging workout session and physical flyer-sharing outreach.

🏃🏽‍♂️ The workout brought Rotaractors together for fellowship, networking, and healthy living, while our flyer-sharing activity helped us create awareness and invite more Rotaractors, intending Rotaractors, and members of the public to be part of the learning experience.

From the streets to the virtual room, the message remains the same:

“Rotaract Empowerment Begins with the Knowledge of Rotaract.”

We are committed to creating an informed and engaged Rotaract community where members don't just belong—they understand, participate, serve, and lead.

💙 Learn Rotaract. Live Rotaract. Lead through Rotaract.

WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY 🌍❤️

Today, we celebrate the people who choose to make a difference, not because they have to, but because they care.

As Rotaractors, humanitarian service is more than a title to us. It is in the communities we reach, the lives we touch, the hands we lend, and the hope we create.

Every little act of kindness counts. Every person we help matters. And every effort we make towards creating a better world leaves an impact.

This World Humanitarian Day, I am reminded that service above self is not just a motto, it is a way of life.

Let’s continue to serve, connect, inspire and create positive change wherever we find ourselves.

Happy World Humanitarian Day🌍💙

Happy world humanitarian day to all Rotaractors in UYO CITY
