There is nothing quite like the feeling of watching a child experience technology for the very first time.

For over 50 of these incredible students, this digital literacy project was their exact first time touching, operating, and learning on a computer.

Seeing them type their first words and navigate a screen for the first time was pure magic.

By introducing them to basic computer hardware and software operations, we’ve laid the groundwork for essential 21st-century skills.

A huge thank you to our partners; Elroi legacy, LAskill Training Center, Oria digital skills, 100 folds ICT and to all our volunteers.

We are officially rewriting the narrative for rural education! 🔥

Our mission at PedaAfrica has always been clear: to bridge the digital literacy gap in underserved communities.

This is exactly what we are doing at Comprehensive secondary school, ikot nsung Ikono, Uyo.

Digital literacy isn't a luxury; it’s a fundamental right. And we are just getting started.

Together, we are building a digitally literate Africa.

Last week was the beginning of our digital literacy project at Comprehensive secondary school, ikot nsung Ikono, Uyo in Akwaibom state.

In the course of the program, more than 50 students got to use a computer for the very first time.

Our facilitators were dedicated to educating the students on the parts and elements of a computer system as well as understanding basic computer language and commands.

We are on a mission to ensure that we bridge the digital divide in our communities because every child deserves a chance at education regardless of background, status or locality.

We are thankful to our partners Elroi legacy, Laskill training agency, 100 folds ICT and Oria digital skills for teaming up with is to ensure that this project came to life.

‎The Spark Behind the Screen

‎Walk into many rural classrooms, and you’ll find brilliant minds, eager eyes, and notebooks filled with big dreams. What you often won't find, however, is a computer.

‎For a child in an urban center, clicking a mouse or navigating a webpage is second nature. But for a student in a rural community, that same screen is a distant world a divide that grows wider every single day. We believe talent is distributed equally, but opportunity is not.

‎That is exactly why Peda Africa is stepping onto the field.
‎This May and June, we are launching the Digital Literacy Project, heading straight to the heart of Community Comprehensive Secondary School in Ikot Nsung Ikono, Uyo.

‎Our mission? To build a bridge. 🌉
‎We aren't just bringing computers into a classroom; we are unlocking a universe of possibilities. We are teaching essential digital skills so these incredible students can transition from being passive onlookers to active creators, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow's digital economy.

‎Driven by Community, Powered by Partnership
‎A mission this vital takes a village. We are incredibly proud to walk this path alongside our amazing partners who share this vision for a more equitable future:
‎El-Roi Legacy Initiative
‎Oria Digitals
‎100 Folds ICT
‎LAskill
‎Join the Movement

‎True change happens when we decide that no child should be left behind in the analog past. You can follow our journey, support the project, and see the impact firsthand.

There was a time when a seed was planted not in the ground, but in the hearts of people who believed that lives could be transformed through compassion, education, empowerment, and service.

Day by day, that seed grew. It touched lives, inspired hope, and reminded many that even the smallest act of kindness can create a lasting impact.

As one month closes and another begins, we pause to reflect on the journey so far. The challenges we faced became lessons. The victories we celebrated became motivation. The lives we reached became proof that every effort matters.

Now, a new month unfolds before us like a fresh chapter waiting to be written.
At PedaAfrica Foundation, we step into this month with renewed passion, greater purpose, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. We believe there are more dreams to nurture, more communities to serve, and more lives to impact.

May this month bring fresh opportunities, meaningful connections, and remarkable achievements for every member, partner, volunteer, and supporter of our mission.
Together, we will continue to inspire change, empower people, and build a brighter future.
Welcome to a new month of purpose, impact, and possibilities.

Happy New Month from PedaAfrica Foundation! 🌍✨💙

Children’s Day is a day meant for children to be celebrated. A day that children will collectively be in stadiums, parks, or somewhere safe with their families to celebrate.

This right has been stolen away and terror has become the order of their days.

A child left his home with laughter, with the hope to secure a better tomorrow, just to meet horror in the classroom. Whose laughter slowly faded into silence. Whose innocence was interrupted too soon.

Children and teachers in captivity, struggling to survive in the bush. Amongst them are toddlers that neither understands their left from their right nor how to navigate the harshness of the cold bare ground with a cold weather in a lonely bush full of dangerous insects and reptiles.

This is more than a tragedy, this is the reality that our children are not safe and protected. This really deepens each day.

This is a call for the protection and safety of the children and their teachers in captivity, and all children in Nigeria and beyond.
