Introducing the Voter Sensitization Campaign.
A vibrant democracy depends on the active participation of its citizens, and participation begins with preparation.
The “Your PVC. Your Voice. Your Power.” campaign is a collaborative voter sensitization initiative aimed at encouraging every eligible Nigerian to obtain, protect, and use their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) for the primary purpose of casting a vote and shaping the future of our nation.
For many people today, the PVC has become merely a means of identification or a document used for registrations and online opportunities. This campaign seeks to change that perception by reminding citizens that the PVC is first and foremost a powerful civic tool that gives every eligible voter a voice in deciding who leads and how communities are governed.
Through a series of coordinated awareness activities, digital campaigns, public education, and community engagement efforts, this initiative will promote informed citizenship, encourage voter registration and PVC collection, and inspire meaningful participation in the electoral process.
The campaign will run consecutively in phases, each focusing on key aspects of civic responsibility and voter participation.
Phase One begins:
June 11 – June 13
The first phase will focus on:
1. Raising awareness about the true purpose of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC).
2. Encouraging eligible Nigerians to register for and collect their PVCs.
3. Reinforcing the importance of being prepared to vote.
4. Demonstrating how increased voter participation leads to stronger representation, greater accountability, and a healthier democracy.
Every PVC collected is a voice prepared to be heard. Every vote cast is an investment in the future.
