Our visit to the School of Inclusive Learning during our 4th Anniversary 🎥❤️

On February 14th 2026, ACORN Foundation for the Poor visited the Special Education Center (School for Inclusive Learning) to spend time with some truly remarkable children.

Watch the video to see the joy, the smiles, and the beautiful moments of connection we shared. These children learn differently, but their potential is limitless. All they need is the right support to unlock it.

Visits like this remind us how much work is still needed: more learning materials, assistive resources, and consistent support for the teachers who pour into these children daily.

Our favorite UN SDG Action Campaign moment is a simple one. Everyy time we walk with a family through a crisis they couldn't face alone. 🧡
At ACORN Foundation for the Poor, SDG 1: No Poverty isn't just a goal on a chart, it is the referral letters we write, the hospitals we call, and the partnerships we build across Akwa Ibom State to make sure no family is turned away because they can't pay.

It started in 2022 with 100 pupils at Methodist Central School, Etoi. No uniforms, no writing materials, no way to attend school with dignity and ACORN Foundation stepped in.

In this video, our President, Mr. Etido Anthony Edem shares how that first act of kindness has since grown to touch more schools and more children across Akwa Ibom State, including learners at our Special Education Center and hundreds of girls reached through our International Day of the Girl Child outreach.

Every child deserves a chance to learn. Watch, share, and join us in giving more children that chance. 🙏

Behind the societal phrase "man up" lies a silent crisis.

Today is the International Day of the Boy Child, and this year’s theme is: "Breaking the Silence: Boys and Mental Health: Investing in Boys for Stronger Families."

For generations, we’ve conditioned our boys to suppress their emotions, to hide their tears, and to carry burdens in silence. But true strength isn't about masking pain, it is about having the courage to speak up, and finding a society ready to listen.

When we neglect the emotional, educational, and mental well-being of the boy child, we fail the future men, fathers, and leaders of tomorrow. Investing in them isn't just about providing; it’s about protecting their minds and hearts.

What an incredible way to mark our 4th Anniversary! 🎉❤️

Yesterday, February 14, 2026, ACORN Foundation (FTP) visited the amazing students at the Special Education Center (School for Inclusive Learning) in Uyo to celebrate our 4th Anniversary with them. We brought joy, refreshments, toiletries, sanitary products, and essential writing materials tailored for the visually impaired and blind students. But the real highlight was sharing our anniversary cake with these wonderful children and feeling the pure happiness in the room! 🥳🍰

Their smiles lit up the entire space, and we left even more grateful and inspired. Being with them was the best celebration we could have asked for.

Inclusion, love, and support for every child, that's what we're all about. đź’™
