In April, we are taking a step forward in Ubiaja with a simple goal—bringing hope, skills, and dignity closer to those who need it most.

Through a free skill acquisition programme, and in partnership with Ekesh College of Technology and Skills Development , we are creating opportunities for young people—especially girls, women, and persons living with disabilities—to learn practical skills that can help them support themselves and their families.

This is more than training. It is about strengthening lives, restoring confidence, and building a future where no one is left behind.

Working with traditional and religious leaders, we are reaching out to identify and support those in genuine need within the community.

Our first set of training will focus on: • Baking (Pastries & Confectioneries)
• ICT Skills

As the programme grows, we will gradually introduce more skills such as tailoring, footwear production, and other vocational areas to reach even more people.

We believe that when people are given the right support and skills, they don’t just improve their own lives—they lift others around them.

Together, we can build stronger, more resilient communities.

At the heart of humanity is compassion.
Every day, volunteers of the Nigerian Red Cross Society at Esan South-East Division step into communities to support those who need help the most — the vulnerable, the displaced, the sick, and families facing hardship.
From community outreach and first aid services to health education and emergency response, our mission remains simple: to stand with humanity when it matters most.
❤️ Compassion is our Love Language.
Together, we can reach more lives and build stronger communities.

Today, on International , we remember that no human being is illegal. Every person deserves safety, dignity, and protection, no matter where they are — on land, at sea, or anywhere in between.

Tragically, many face danger, exploitation, or neglect while seeking a better life. Saving lives is not optional — it is a humanitarian responsibility.

Every day, Red Cross teams work tirelessly to reach the most vulnerable, providing aid, support, and protection to ensure that everyone can survive and thrive, no matter their journey.

Let’s stand together for a world where migrants are treated with compassion, respect, and care.

ACTION AT EMERGENCY 🚨

In any emergency, your safety comes first.
Before helping anyone, always check for danger — look around for traffic, fire, electrical hazards or anything that can harm you or others.
Once the scene is safe, you can check the casualty’s response, call for help, and begin first aid.

🚦 DRIVE TO STAY ALIVE! 🚦
This December, we are raising our voices again because road accidents remain one of the fastest killers in Nigeria.

According to FRSC records, over 5,000 people lost their lives in road crashes in 2023 alone. Thousands more were injured.
During the festive season, the numbers rise sharply due to overspeeding, long-distance travel, fatigue, and poor vehicle condition.

No family deserves to lose a loved one on the road.
As you travel this December, please:
✔ Drive at safe speeds
✔ Avoid distractions
✔ Do not drive tired or after drinking
✔ Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy

Your journey matters. Your life matters. Drive to stay alive. ❤️
