In *Boys' Brigade Nigeria*, a _Captain_ is the officer in charge of a local Company.

Detail Info
**Role** The Captain is the commanding officer of a BB Company. He/she oversees all activities, training, discipline, and administration of the Company
**Rank** It’s the highest rank at Company level. Above Lieutenants, Warrant Officers, and Staff Sergeants
**Appointment** Appointed by the Church/Battalion Council, usually after serving as a Lieutenant and completing officers’ training
**Responsibilities** 1. Spiritual and character development of Boys
2. Planning weekly parades, drills, and Bible class
3. Managing other officers and NCOs in the Company
4. Liaison with the Church, parents, and Battalion HQ
5. Ensuring BB programmes, camps, and badge work run properly

**Who can be one** Must be a committed Christian, at least 21 years old, trained through BB Nigeria Officers’ Training Course, and recommended by the Church
