📍 Participatory Action Research (PAR) Training with Southeast Regional Human Rights Coalition Youth-Led organizations.
At Synergy for Health Rights and Education (SHRE), we believe that access to healthcare and human rights begins with open minds, informed perspectives, and intentional action. 🎈
In August, we hosted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) training with youth-led organizations in Southeast, a powerful step towards understanding the lived experiences of sexual minorities, reshaping harmful biases, and building stronger, more inclusive systems of care.
Through diverse learning and conversations, collaborative sessions, and personal reflection, participant’s skills on how to conduct a successful Focus Group Discussion (FGD) were enhanced. The FGD will focus on documenting real-life events and data focusing on issues affecting these marginalized youths across the Southeast. 💪🏾
💬 Together, we:
✅ Improved our skills on conducting a successful FGD.
✅ Reframed narratives.
✅ Strengthened commitment to equitable service delivery.
✅ Document lived experiences of young persons based on their sexual orientation and gender identity.
This training is part of our continued effort to ensure that dignity, empathy, and inclusion guide every aspect of young persons in the health and human rights space. For our project, “Building Evidence for Inclusive Youth” we sincerely appreciate the funding and technical support from ❤️🥰
