📢 ANNOUNCEMENT

This is to inform women groups in Nigeria, and community-based organizations in the South East, that we have completed the FGD report titled:

"A Study on Gender-Based Violence in Rural Communities in South East Nigeria"

This report is dedicated to every woman in rural Nigeria who has experienced violence and been told to remain silent.
➡️ We hear you.
➡️ We believe you.
➡️ And we commit to using these findings to advocate for the safety, dignity, and justice you deserve.

🔹 Special acknowledgments go to:

LBQ women who participated in Abia State – your bravery ensures you will not be invisible in this report.

Female s*x workers in Imo and Anambra States – you have shown that s*x workers are powerful advocates for their own safety and dignity.

Widows who lost not only husbands but homes, property, and community standing – your resilience is remarkable.

Young women who shared stories of abuse, exploitation, and lost opportunities – your hopes remind us why this work matters.

We also thank local women's groups, community health workers, women-led CBOs, traditional leaders, community mobilizers, and Community Rights Advocates who helped make this study possible – often at personal risk.

📧 To request access to the report, please send an email to:
[email protected]

We are working to upload the report to our website once our developer completes the work.

With gratitude to the communities of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Anambra States for trusting us with this difficult but necessary conversation.

As we celebrate International Earth Day, we want to bring attention to the growing impact of human activities on our environment and the urgent need for climate action.

Across our communities, we are witnessing the consequences every day:
Flooded streets after heavy rains.
Extreme heat.
Polluted air and water.
Trees disappearing.
Waste filling our drains and rivers.

These are not just environmental problems — they are threats to our health, our livelihoods, and our future.

The painful truth is that many of these problems are caused by everyday human actions:
❌ Burning waste openly
❌ Dumping plastics carelessly
❌ Cutting down trees without replacement
❌ Polluting our environment
❌ Wasting energy and natural resources

But there is still hope.

The same people contributing to climate change can also become the people protecting the planet.

This Earth Day, let us make better choices:
✅ Plant more trees
✅ Keep our environment clean
✅ Recycle and reuse waste
✅ Save water and electricity
✅ Support climate awareness in our communities

The Earth gives us life every day.
Now, it is our turn to protect it.

Together, let us build a cleaner, greener, and safer future for generations to come.

🌍 Be part of the solution, not the pollution.

World Breastfeeding Week highlights the importance of breastfeeding for the health and well-being of both babies and mothers. Breastfeeding gives children the best start in life, strengthens their immunity, and supports healthy growth and development.

This week also reminds us that mothers need support from families, communities, workplaces, and health systems to successfully breastfeed. By creating supportive environments, we can improve child survival, promote maternal health, and reduce inequalities.

Together, let us support breastfeeding and build healthier communities for every child.
