📢 ANNOUNCEMENT
This is to inform women groups in Nigeria, and community-based organizations in the South East, that we have completed the FGD report titled:
"A Study on Gender-Based Violence in Rural Communities in South East Nigeria"
This report is dedicated to every woman in rural Nigeria who has experienced violence and been told to remain silent.
➡️ We hear you.
➡️ We believe you.
➡️ And we commit to using these findings to advocate for the safety, dignity, and justice you deserve.
🔹 Special acknowledgments go to:
LBQ women who participated in Abia State – your bravery ensures you will not be invisible in this report.
Female s*x workers in Imo and Anambra States – you have shown that s*x workers are powerful advocates for their own safety and dignity.
Widows who lost not only husbands but homes, property, and community standing – your resilience is remarkable.
Young women who shared stories of abuse, exploitation, and lost opportunities – your hopes remind us why this work matters.
We also thank local women's groups, community health workers, women-led CBOs, traditional leaders, community mobilizers, and Community Rights Advocates who helped make this study possible – often at personal risk.

We are working to upload the report to our website once our developer completes the work.
With gratitude to the communities of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Anambra States for trusting us with this difficult but necessary conversation.
