Subject: URGENT APPEAL FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR AJIKE ISAAC'S MEDICAL TREATMENT
Dear Architecture Students of ANSU Uli,
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. Today, I write to you on behalf of our fellow student, Ajike Isaac, who is facing an incredibly challenging and urgent medical situation. As dedicated members of this academic community, we have always supported one another through thick and thin, and now is the time when our collective help can make a significant difference in Isaac's life.
A few months ago, Isaac experienced a terrifying medical emergency. He was discharged as an outpatient but soon faced severe complications, including bleeding from the veins in his right hand and other distressing symptoms. This unfortunate incident led to his unconsciousness, and he had to be rushed back to the hospital that very night. Since then, he has been on a difficult journey towards recovery.
Isaac's condition has led to the swelling of the veins in his hand, making it immobile for weeks, and he has been experiencing numbness in various parts of his body. He requires immediate surgical intervention on his hand, knee, and pelvic areas to prevent partial paralysis. Additionally, he is dealing with low oxygen saturation in his lungs.
Currently, Isaac is undergoing physiotherapy for his pelvic and knee, along with regular injections. This treatment regimen is essential for his recovery, and he has to go through it every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Tragically, Isaac's father is also in a similar condition, and they both have been struggling with these medical challenges for nearly a year now. The financial burden of their treatment has been substantial, and they have already received some support from Isaac's classmates. However, there is still a significant shortfall to cover the necessary medical expenses.
To date, Isaac's immediate colleagues (2013/2014 Class) have contributed generously, totaling approximately ₦635,000 (excluding minor expenses), but there remains a shortfall of ₦232,000, with additional costs for medications and supplements. Isaac had to use part of the initial support to purchase medications and cover medical tests and scans, further increasing their financial strain.
We appeal to your generosity and compassion to help us raise the remaining ₦172,000, not including minor drug expenses, to ensure that Isaac can complete his treatment. A target sum of ₦300,000 would significantly alleviate the financial burdens of both Isaac and his father. Time is of the essence, as the specialist attending to them has given a payment deadline of "September 22, 2023". Although we are not certain of the exact hospital details, Isaac can provide this information in person.
Please consider extending your support to our fellow student, Isaac, who has been enduring this hardship for almost a year. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to ensuring his full recovery and alleviating his family's suffering.
