Every Girl Every Woman Initiative is a non-for-profit, non-religious and non-governmental youth led organization founded in 2015 with the aim of addressing key social challenges affecting girls and women in Sokoto, northern Nigeria. We focuses on changing societal norms, values and harmful practices that limit Girls and Women’s health, rights and well being. We work with communities, policy makers
, girls and women, men and boys to address issues of unequal gender relations, violence, early child and forced marriages, female ge***al mutilation or cutting, access to maternal and sexual reproductive health services, girl child education and economic empowerment; through a robust design that use effective and evidence based approaches or best practices in behavioral change and community engagement, advocacy, mentoring and skill building sessions. We also use media, storytelling and documentaries for effective communication and engagement to influence behavioral practices. VISION
