On the 9th of September 2026, 3Ps provided a timely lifeline to displaced families in Shuni, Dange Shuni LGA, where our latest emergency response directly addressed health risks following the reporting of 1 diphtheria case among displaced persons in the area.
We rapidly distributed targeted Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) materials—including soap, detergents, clean water storage containers, and hygiene kits—to mitigate the spread of diphtheria, a highly contagious bacterial infection that thrives in crowded displacement settings.
Alongside WASH kits, our teams conducted community-based awareness sessions on child protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), emphasizing how overcrowding and disease outbreaks heighten risks for vulnerable children and women, while linking internally displaced persons to community-based child protection structures (CBCPS) for safe reporting of protection incidents.
