On the 11-08-2025, Our team came together to discuss crucial strategies for addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Tambuwal, Goronyo, and Dange Shuni. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including our Executive Coordinator, Programme Manager, Finance officer, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experts, Data Officers, Gender Officers, and Local Government Area (LGA) Coordinators.

We're committed to tackling GBV in these communities and working towards creating a safer, more supportive environment for all individuals.

Establishment of Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs) in Tambuwal and Goronyo LGA

We're excited to announce the establishment of Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs) in both Tambuwal and Goronyo Local Government Areas (LGA). This initiative is a significant step towards protecting children from abuse and promoting their welfare in our communities.

The establishment of CBCPCs in these LGAs will help create a safer environment for children, ensuring their rights and welfare are protected. We look forward to the positive impact this will have on the communities.

*Building Capacity to Protect Children and Respond to SGBV!*

Our 3Ps team is committed to strengthening child protection systems and responding to Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in our community. Recently, we trained 33 auxiliary social workers in Goronyo LGA on identifying and referring cases of SGBV and other child protection concerns, as well as using the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS).

This training is part of our ongoing efforts to empower social workers with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to protect children and support survivors of SGBV. By building their capacity, we can ensure that children and families receive timely and effective support.

"Empowering Communities, Protecting Children!

Our team, 3Ps, recently organized a training for auxiliary social workers in Tambuwal LGA on identifying and referring cases of SGBV (Sexual Gender-Based Violence) and other child protection concerns. The training also covered the use of CPIMS (Child Protection Information Management System) to ensure effective case management.

This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of social workers to respond to child protection issues and provide support to vulnerable children and families.

As we celebrate love and relationships today, we also remember that love shouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, many people around the world experience violence and abuse in their relationships.

At 3Ps, we believe that everyone deserves to be loved and respected, without fear of violence or abuse. That's why we work tirelessly to support survivors of GBV and to advocate for policies and practices that promote healthy, non-violent relationships.

This Valentine's Day, we urge you to remember that love is not just a feeling, but a choice. Choose to respect, support, and uplift those around you. Choose to speak out against violence and abuse. Choose to create a world where everyone can experience love without fear.

"Empowering the Future

Our amazing team at 3Ps recently distributed takeoff materials to Almajiri boys and out-of-school adolescent girls who successfully completed our skills acquisition program! The program was funded by UNICEF through Sokoto State Ministry of Women affairs and Sokoto State Arabic and Islamic Education.

These talented individuals learned valuable skills in:
Tailoring
Henna design
Barbing
Catering & plating
Knitting
Motorbike and Generator repairs
Solar installation
Phone repairs

We're proud to support their journey towards financial independence and self-sufficiency!

"Fighting Against Gender-Based Violence in Dange LGA!

Our team recently embarked on an advocacy dialogue meeting tour to various communities in Dange LGA, with a crucial mission: to combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV)!
These communities includes Galankawa and Kindiru in Dange ward Sabon zama Danbuwa and kwannawa Shiyar Ubandoma in Tuntube Tsefe

We engaged with local leaders, stakeholders, and community members to:
Raise awareness about the devastating effects of GBV
Listen to survivors' stories and amplify their voices
Mobilize community support for GBV prevention and response

Together, we can create a safer, more equitable society for all!
