A group picture taken after successful meeting held at the Sokoto State Command headquarters. The meeting was organize by Cadet Abdullahi Ibrahim (Zonal Commander Northwest Zone) together with Acting State Commander Cadet Bello Muhammad and his Council members to discuss ways of development. The Zonal Commander called on the officers to put more effort in discharging there duty's in order archive and to move the organization forward.

BRIEF HISTORY OF CADET CORPS IN NIGERIA*

The Cadet Corps History in Nigeria dates back to 1909 when Nigeria was still under British Colonialists, the University Officer Training Corps (UOTC) was established to provide a scheme offering semi military training in colleges and institutions but later on, the UOTC was performing below standard required.
A committee headed by the then Governor General, Sir Lord Lugard and Sultan Hassan danMu'azu recommended the Cadet Corps Organization to be established in schools and colleges at National level. The Cadet Corps was established in 1914 when the Army Cadet Corps Act was accepted by the Governor General.

The first cadet company was established in Nagata College, Sokoto During the regime of General Olusegun Obasanjo in 1976 with the help of other military generals a slow rise back up and made proper establishment of Nigeria Army Cadet Corps by establishing the Cadet company in Nigeria which is at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.

On the 22nd of June 1990 the Naval Cadet Corps was commissioned by Commander SO Aforlayon Commanding officer NNS Olokun now NNC Becrofy.

Muhammad Dan baba dambuwa* at yabo local government for the lost of his biological father late *ABDULLAHI IYAN YABO .* may his soul rest in peace and grant him jannatul Firdausi and give his family the gratitude and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.

*DECORATION OF ZONAL/STATE COMMANDING OFFICERS,HANDING OVER AND TAKING OVER OF THE STATE COMMAND*

Yesterday 5th April, 2025 the *General Commanding Officer* *(G.O.C)* in person of *Cdt.OSITA A.NWEKE* has *Decorated* the *zonal commander*
( *ZONE A NORTH-WEST* ) in person of *Cdt.Abdullahi Ibrahim with* rank of *Assistant General Commander* (AGC)and *ACTING STATE COMMANDING OFFICER* in person of *Cdt.Bello Muhammad rugged *(C.O)* who has been decorated and witnesses in the presence of *past/C.O's,2IC's* and many other *officers and men of the Nigerian cadet corps*.

However, The Past *Commanding Officer* in person of Oga *Sufiyanu* charges them to work as a team and to avoid side informations amongst *officers* which may lead separation and downgrading the organization and former *2Ic* *Nasiru Dahiru Assada* as well as others.

*Moreover* , the *General Commander* Task the Acting *Commanding officer* to use his knowledge and experience to brings rapid changes and development towards uniting the cadet to be as it was before.

*Lastly* , the Acting Commanding officer promised to work wholeheartedly to move the organization forward in order to bring sustainable movement and progress in the organization.
