SPORT GIRLS PERIOD ALPHABETS CAMPAIGN

R โ€ข S โ€ข T

R โ€“ Reuse with Confidence Reusable menstrual products are a smart, sustainable, and cost-effective option for menstrual hygiene management. When properly cleaned and cared for, reusable pads can help girls stay comfortable, confident, and environmentally conscious while reducing waste and supporting a healthier planet.

S โ€“ Stigma-Free Period Menstruation is natural, normal, and nothing to be ashamed of. Every girl deserves to learn, play, participate in sports, and pursue her dreams without fear of stigma, teasing, or discrimination. Together, we can create safe and supportive spaces where girls feel empowered to talk openly about their periods and access the care they need.

T โ€“ Track Your Cycle Understanding and tracking your menstrual cycle helps you prepare, recognize patterns, manage symptoms, and make informed decisions about your health. Knowledge of your cycle builds confidence, reduces anxiety, and empowers girls to take charge of their wellbeing.

Through the SPORT GIRLS Period Alphabet Campaign, we continue to educate, empower, and inspire girls with the knowledge and tools they need to manage menstruation with dignity, confidence, and pride.

๐Ÿ“ข Let's promote menstrual health, end period stigma, and build a future where every girl can thrive in school, sports, and life.

Today, 2nd June 2026, we held an interactive health education session with pregnant women on the Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

During the session, we emphasized the importance of seeking professional healthcare advice throughout every stage of pregnancy, attending antenatal care appointments regularly, knowing their health status early through routine testing, and adhering strictly to prescribed treatments where necessary.

We also encouraged expectant mothers to maintain a healthy and balanced diet, avoid sharing sharp objects, prioritize their mental and emotional well-being by staying away from situations that may trigger anxiety or depression, and make adequate preparations for safe delivery and newborn care before the arrival of their babies.

The women were reminded that early detection, timely treatment, and consistent antenatal care are key to protecting both mother and child from preventable infections and ensuring healthier pregnancy outcomes.

As part of our commitment to promoting maternal and child health,
we also shared informative materials to empower women with accurate health information, strengthen awareness on disease prevention, and support communities in building healthier futures for mothers and their children.

SPORT GIRLS PERIOD ALPHABETS

H โ€“ Hygiene Hero | I โ€“ Informed Girl | J โ€“ Just Change It

Every girl deserves the knowledge, confidence, and support to manage her period with dignity.

Today, through the Sport Girls Period Alphabets Campaign, we highlight three powerful lessons that can transform menstrual health outcomes for girls everywhere:

๐Ÿ”น H โ€“ Hygiene Hero
Good menstrual hygiene is not a luxuryโ€”it is a necessity. Maintaining proper hygiene helps prevent infections, promotes health, and boosts confidence, enabling girls to participate fully in school, sports, and everyday life.

๐Ÿ”น I โ€“ Informed Girl
Knowledge is power. When girls have accurate information about their bodies, menstrual health, and their rights, they are empowered to make informed decisions, challenge harmful myths, and advocate for themselves and others.

๐Ÿ”น J โ€“ Just Change It
Changing menstrual pads regularly is a simple but essential practice for health, comfort, and dignity.

Access to menstrual products and information helps girls manage their periods safely and confidently.

As we continue to advocate for a , we call on parents, schools, communities, policymakers, and partners to ensure that no girl is held back by menstruation.

Together, we can build a future where every girl has: โœ… Access to menstrual products
โœ… Accurate menstrual health education
โœ… Safe and supportive environments
โœ… The confidence to thrive without stigma or shame
Because when girls are informed, healthy, and supported, they become unstoppable.

Earlier today, in commemoration of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, our team carried out a community sensitization and awareness outreach focused on promoting menstrual health, hygiene, dignity, and open conversations among women and adolescent girls.

The outreach created a safe and supportive environment where women and young girls openly shared their menstrual health experiences, challenges, and concerns. One of the major discussions centered around changes in menstrual cycles after the use of family planning methods and emergency prevention pills. Several women spoke about irregular menstruation, changes in flow, cramps, delayed periods, and emotional stress they experienced, while health education and counseling were provided to help them better understand possible side effects and the importance of seeking professional medical guidance when necessary.

We also educated participants on proper menstrual hygiene practices, breaking menstrual stigma and shame, reproductive health awareness, and the importance of supporting adolescent girls with accurate menstrual health information.

As part of the outreach, sanitary pads were distributed to women and adolescent girls to support proper menstrual hygiene management and menstrual dignity. During the distribution, we noticed that some women and girls felt shy or ashamed to collect sanitary pads openly due to the stigma that still surrounds menstruation in many communities. This became an important opportunity for reassurance, counseling, and meaningful conversations, reminding them that menstruation is natural and should never be a source of shame or embarrassment.

We continue to advocate for a society where every girl and woman can manage her menstruation safely, confidently, and with dignity, without fear, stigma, or discrimination.

This is part of our collective effort to build a where no girl is left behind.

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Childrenโ€™s Day 2026: Every Child Deserves a Chance to Dream, Learn, and Lead

Today, as we celebrate Childrenโ€™s Day 2026, our hearts are with every child, the child with big dreams, the child fighting to stay in school, the child whose voice is ignored, and the child still hoping for a better tomorrow.

Children are gifts to our communities and the future of our society. They deserve love, protection, education, healthcare, support, and the freedom to grow into the best version of themselves.

Yet, many children are still being denied these basic rights.

Too many girls are forced into child marriage before they even understand their worth. Too many children drop out of school because of poverty, violence, lack of support, or harmful societal pressures. Many young girls face unwanted and teenage pregnancies that interrupt their education, affect their mental wellbeing, and limit their future opportunities.

This must change.

Every child deserves the right to remain in school, to learn without fear, to play, to participate in sports, to discover their talents, to speak confidently, and to become leaders in their homes, schools, communities, and nation.

A child should never have to choose between survival and education.
A girl child should never lose her future because of early marriage or lack of support.
No child should feel forgotten, unsafe, unheard, or unimportant.

As we mark this special day, we call on parents, teachers, governments, community leaders, religious institutions, healthcare professionals, and society at large to do more for children, not only in words, but through real action, protection, support, and opportunities.

Let us build communities where children feel safe, valued, encouraged, and empowered to dream beyond limitations.

When we protect children, we protect the future.
When we educate children, we empower generations.
When we listen to children, we create a better world for everyone.

To every child reading this or listening today:
Your dreams are valid.
Your voice matters.
Your future is important.
And you deserve every opportunity to shine.

Happy Childrenโ€™s Day 2026.

Protect Every Child.
