Salame is a town and district in Gwadabawa Local Government,Sokoto State, Nigeria.

Located in the eastern part of Gwadabawa local government area along Kware - Salame - Mammande - Gada Road.

Salame district is made up of Salame town and several surrounding villages.
With estimate population of about 40000 to 50000 people

The economic activities involve business,
transport services,crafts,farming and livestock rearing, with crops like millet, sorghum, maize, and beans, vegetables commonly grown.
