Dear SYO community,

Join us on the journey of growth as we launch our novel initiative on building Entrepreneurial growth and awakening. THE SYO ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEGACY SERIES is organized to create advisory, opportunities, business support, conversations, engagements, and business development for startups and youth-led businesses in our community.

The new initiative feature 12 Episodes in its first season. Each episode will take place once every calendar month as we will be bringing young business leaders and founders on the platform as guests and facilitators.

On our maiden episode, we will be guiding participants on the fundamentals of applying for the TONY ELUMELU FOUNDATION seed capital for young African entrepreneurs. The famous empowerment program reaches more than 3000 young Africans every year and each selected winner is provided with a non-refundable seed capital of $5,000 (N7,500,000) and the necessary support to scale.

Who else to facilitate such an important topic than a 2016 TEF seed fund winner and 2025 Mentor on the program - Mr Hakeem Kuranga a seasoned startup founder and vibrant community advocate.

The event will be Co-hosted by the Secretariat duo of Samad Adewale (GS) & Robiat Busari (AGS).

Congratulations on this new year 2026, On behalf of the entire leadership of our great organization, the President, warmly congratulates every member of SYO on witnessing a brand new year. He expresses his heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, dedication, and commitment throughout the past year.

The President prays that this new year ushers in joy, prosperity, progress, and abundant opportunities for every member and their families.

He further encourages all members to prioritize self-development, discover their true worth, and invest intentionally in their personal growth. According to him, success is not far away — it is right ahead, waiting for those who prepare for it.

It's Christmas again, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated with popular customs like gift giving and merry making.

Christmas this time around should go beyond wining and dining, but rather we should also learn from the exemplary life of Christ whom we are celebrating.

His humbleness and meekness should be a lesson to us and instead of merry making alone we must as well show this qualities within our community.

Gift giving and the other acts we exhibit this day of Christmas should not cease but should continue as make the society worth living for the down- and -out.

Christ means love, let the love you show people today go beyond. Together, let's continuously show love.
