Christmas In Rukpakwulosi

Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Clubs International District 404A2 Nigeria proudly carried out the Hunger Relief Project as part of our commitment to serve humanity and uplift lives.

This Christmas season, we reached out to the beautiful people of Rukpokwulosi Village, sharing food items, compassion, and the true spirit of the season. Beyond the meals, we shared smiles, encouragement, and the reminder that no one is forgotten. At Lions Club, we believe that hunger should never steal joy, dignity, or hope, especially during a season meant for love and togetherness. Every package given was a message of care. Every smile received was a reminder of why we serve. It was another opportunity to enlighten the populace about the Lions Club International.

Thank you to our dedicated Lions and Leos , and volunteers who made this outreach possible. Together, we continue to make a difference—one community, one family, one meal at a time. We Serve. 💙💛

We are thrilled to announce that , this year's Literacy Day celebration 2.0 was a resounding success from the 13th to 15th October, Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Club collaborated with the Old Port Harcourt Town Neighbours Association for her Literacy Day Celebration/Project.

"Promoting Multilingual Education : Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace" This project highlighted the importance of reading for individuals and the society. A quiz competition was conducted for Pupils in Primary schools in old Port Harcourt Township.

As we conclude this year's celebration we remain committed to promoting literacy and education. To all participants, organizers and supporters, thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication to promoting literacy . Together we can make a difference.

"The Girl I am, the Change I Lead"

The international day of the girl child celebration was marked on the 13th of October by members of Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Club at Pabod Model Secondary school .

This celebration highlights resilience and determination of girls worldwide especially those in crisis situations and emphasizes the importance empowering the girl child to lead and create positive change.

Students were also gifted sanitary pads and also sensitized about limited education and health care and equal opportunities.

HOPE IN BLOOM

On the 10th of October 2025, Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Club in Collaboration with Port Harcourt Crystal Leo Club marked the world Mental Health awareness campaign in Partnership with Twayne Safe Haven and FIDA respectively.

An online webinar with over 104 participants and a radio sensitisation program at Garden City FM with major emphasis on mental health was carried out.

Literacy in the Digital Era.

To mark the world literacy day, Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Club in Collaboration with Faecare Foundation carried out her literacy projects on the 27th September at Rubies Academy , Ada George and 30th September at the School for special needs creek road Port Harcourt, respectively.

This project featured interactions with senior secondary students (SS1, SS2 & SS3) on Tips to Good Education and Digital Literacy in the Digital Era.

Other key highlights of this project are distribution of branded note books, lesson pamphlet and educational stickers.

"Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond"

In today's fast-paced world, empowering young people with the right skills, knowledge, and opportunities is crucial for their growth and development. Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Club in commemoration of the International Youth Day celebration, carried out her Youth Empowerment program which aims to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, equipping young individuals with the tools they need to succeed .

In her two (2) days programme for the youth empowerment, participants were trained on a free Python programming in STEM for the youths, A talk on Youth empowerment , discussions on opportunities , challenges and the impact youths can make in shaping the future was held . 3 participants received a grant of 100,000 naira each to assist their little business start ups after a careful selection process.

It was indeed an impactful events with all participants sharing their testimonials on how they have been impacted .

Port Harcourt Crystal Lions Clubs International believes in the mantra of supporting and championing youth empowerment initiatives, we can create a brighter future for the next generation.
