❤️ She didn’t give birth to them, but she chose to call them her own.

What started with opening her home to few differently abled people became a beautiful journey of love, care, skill, and empowerment—a journey that later inspired our institute to take interest and also see reason to support and stand with them. 🫶🏽

At our institute, we joined in this mission by nurturing them, training them in different skills, and helping them discover that their abilities could create a meaningful future for them.

Today, their stories stand as a powerful testimony that disability does not mean inability. ✨

This is just a glimpse of her incredible journey and the impact of our institute coming together in support.

The Institute of Export Operations and Management (IEOM) was honoured to participate in the RUFORUM, Mastercard Foundation TAGDev 2.0 event held at the University of Port Harcourt, themed:

“Inclusive Education, Society and Development: Pathway for Building Resilient Food Systems.”

The event brought together leaders from academia, government, development organizations, and the private sector to explore solutions for building resilient food systems through inclusive education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

This vision aligns closely with IEOM’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs, youth and graduates, persons with disabilities (PWDs), SMEs, farmers, agro-processors, exporters, cooperatives, and startups through export education, digital trade, and enterprise development.

Through export education, enterprise development, digital trade, and capacity building, we remain committed to ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing opportunities within the global marketplace.

We are proud to have been part of this impactful event, where our members gained valuable insights, built meaningful connections, and expanded their entrepreneurial perspectives.

As part of our contribution to the event, a talented team of persons with disabilities (PWDs) presented a beautifully crafted portrait of the Executive Secretary of the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM). The presentation was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for RUFORUM’s unwavering commitment to promoting inclusion, empowering underserved communities, and creating opportunities for people of all abilities to thrive.

The moment was a powerful reminder that talent knows no disability and that inclusive platforms not only transform lives but also unlock the immense potential that exists within every community.

We appreciate RUFORUM, the Mastercard Foundation, TAGDev 2.0, and the University of Port Harcourt for creating this impactful platform and look forward to future collaborations that promote inclusion, sustainable development, and economic empowerment.

For years, many Nigerians have believed that exporting is only for large companies with millions of naira in capital.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

Every successful exporter started with one decision—to learn the right process before taking the first step.

We've seen professionals transition into international trade, entrepreneurs expand into new markets, and young graduates build careers in export operations simply because they invested in knowledge.

The difference wasn't luck.

It was training.

This September, we're opening the doors to another cohort of our Weekend Export Operations & Management Training, designed for busy professionals who want to learn without interrupting their weekday schedules.

Over the course of our weekend sessions, you'll gain practical knowledge on:
✅ Export documentation and compliance
✅ Product sourcing and market access
✅ International logistics and freight forwarding
✅ Export procedures and regulations
✅ Digital trade opportunities
✅ Building a sustainable export business

Whether you're looking to start an export business, improve your existing operations, or build a career in international trade, this programme provides practical, industry-focused knowledge you can apply immediately.

📅 Training begins: First weekend in September 2026

⏳ Registration closes: Last week of August 2026

Don't wait until the doors are closed before deciding to invest in your future.

The global market is expanding every day. The question is not whether opportunities exist, it's whether you'll be ready when they come.

Secure your place today and take the first step toward becoming a certified export professional.
