Today is World Cancer Day 2026!!!!

The theme is "United by Unique" and this focuses on a patient-centric approach to everything concerning cancer care......

At AHDI, this has been at the core of our operations and services.....

Nonetheless, this will be revved up this year as we double up our efforts in every sphere of activities......starting with you.....

Mrs RA is a 66 YO woman, a breast cancer patient and beneficiary of our 2025 Breast Cancer Treatment Support Programme ....

She has been receiving treatment since February 2025 and has so far had surgery and chemotherapy done a the cost of approximately N1.7m.....
Response to treatment so far has been encouraging as detection was early and treatment commenced soon after discovery......

Treatment costs so far have been handled by the family and the Sapphire Cancer Foundation, while treatment has been handled effectively and efficiently within the Breast Cancer Management Network.....

She is scheduled to commence radiotherapy on the 25th of November on Lagos and is wager to do so. The family has reached out to us once more to assist in their journey as theyvalsondo their best to raise funds.....

Treatment is estimated to cost N3.5m (Three Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only).

We in rirm are reaching out to you, our supporters over the years, to kindly support her treatment financially in any way you can....if one is soiled, one could equally adopt her as a patient .....

The Breast Cancer Management Network is the brainchild of AHDI and is a network of facilities comprising the various elements of Breast Cancer Management which provide top notch treatment in a timely manner to breast cancer patients at controlled costs.....

2025 is more than halfway gone…..

As we at AHDI mark our 10th year in the Breast Cancer Advocacy and Treatment Support space, we invite you be part of history…..

Our targets for 2025 are listed below:

1. Treatment support for 10 indigent patients…..3 are undergoing treatment already.
2. Subsidized and free mammograms and Pap smears for 100 women.
3. An awareness seminar every quarter.

Happy New Year from Team AHDI!!!!

Over the last 10 years, African Health Development Initiative has been astrong advocate of breast (and cervical) health…..

2025 will witness a rejigging of our programmes and activities with the overall aim of reaching more women and granting access to screening tests and treatment…….

We will be expanding our partners in the Breasr Cancer Management Network as well as Projects 1-Ten & 1-Ten PLUS….

Quarterly seminars will hold giving our women access to knowledge and screening procedures……
