When Discipline Begins to Disappear

Seeing a Nigerian soldier publicly begging a TikToker online for food is deeply concerning not because asking for help is shameful, but because it raises questions about the level of discipline, dignity and welfare within our institutions. The military is traditionally built on self-control, courage, responsibility and professionalism. When personnel are pushed to publicly beg for basic necessities, it can damage public confidence and create the impression that discipline and standards are gradually declining within the system.

This should also prompt serious reflection on the welfare of our men and women in uniform. Discipline must be maintained, but those who serve the nation should equally be treated with dignity and provided with adequate support. A strong system requires both accountability and care.

...On The Issue Of Police Welfare

There are THREE types of WELFARE.

●On the job welfare = Having the basic necessary materials, environmental, equipment and working conditions to function.

●After the job Welfare: Having the best mental, psychological, health & security support.

●Off the job welfare: Good pension plan
.. and the NIGERIA POLICE FORCE HAS NONE...simple...
