Be Patient. This Too Shall Pass. During trials and tough times, pray for the grace to recall God's promises:
- a) nothing that will overwhelm us will befall us.
- b) trials will come, but be of good cheer for Jesus has overcome the world. Etc.

The mind holds the key to liberation from distress and depression. Constantly remind yourself of God's magnitude, and the dark cloud of trial will be dispelled by the Light of God's love, words, compassion, and glory.

UNWRITTEN PAIN THERAPY. The pain associated with sickle cell disease can be overwhelming, often resulting in feelings of defeat and depression. Nevertheless, it is essential to resist these emotions through prayer and positive thinking, concentrating on how one's struggles can be a source of inspiration for others.

I find that I am invigorated and motivated when I direct my thoughts towards making a positive impact on someone's life.
