More than numbers this is life, hope and love in action.

Behind every pint is a heartbeat kept alive, a mother who gets to go home, a child who gets another chance and a warrior living with sickle cell who breathes a little easier today.
This was not just a donation drive, it was a powerful reminder that humanity still shows up for itself.

To every donor who gave a part of themselves so that someone else could live, thank you. You chose compassion over convenience, empathy over indifference and action over silence.
Your selflessness travels far beyond this moment, it flows through hospital wards, into fragile veins and into futures that now exist because you cared.

This blood is more than a gift.
It is survival.
It is love in its purest form.
It is hope shared.

🌺 Blooming Through Adversity 🌺
This year, for our World Sickle Cell Day celebration, we chose a theme that reflects the courage, beauty, and resilience of every warrior in our community: “Blooming Through Adversity.”

Living with sickle cell isn’t easy,it comes with challenges that are physical, emotional, and mental. But like flowers that bloom in the harshest conditions, so do we. This theme is a tribute to everyone who continues to rise, thrive, and bloom in spite of the pain.

To honour that journey, we’ve created an event that’s more than just a celebration,it’s a safe space. A space to unwind, to be seen, to feel heard.
Our event was more than just a gathering; it was a healing experience.
🎨 There were games and a vibrant paint & sip session that sparked joy and creativity.
🧠 We welcomed mental health professionals who led real, honest conversations around the silent battles many of us fight.
💬 Most importantly, we created connection,a room filled with warmth, laughter, shared stories, and a sense of community that reminded us we are never alone.

Because healing isn’t just in medicine,it’s in togetherness, in expression, in joy, and in knowing you’re not alone.

We celebrated strength, softness, and everything in between. Together, we’re not just surviving,we’re blooming. 🌸

📻 Taking the Airwaves for Awareness🌍❤️.

In commemoration of World Sickle Cell Day, we took the message of hope, education, and advocacy to the radio,reaching hearts and homes across the city.

We were live on and with thanks for the opportunity.

Our conversations focused on vital issues surrounding sickle cell disorder:
🔹 Understanding what sickle cell is and how it affects the body
🔹 Breaking down harmful stigmas that isolate warriors
🔹 Encouraging genotype testing and compatibility awareness
🔹 Promoting compassion, inclusion, and informed decision making

We believe awareness is a powerful tool in saving lives and changing narratives. By speaking up and sharing knowledge, we’re building a more informed, supportive society where sickle cell warriors are seen, heard, and empowered.

Together, we can rewrite the story,one broadcast at a time. 💬🩸🎙️
