Monday Motivation:

Start your week with a focus on emotional intelligence. Recognise your feelings, pause, and respond thoughtfully. Try box breathing (4-4-4-4) to calm your mind.

Let's create a supportive environment where kids feel safe to express themselves.

Prioritise your mental health too – it's a journey we're in together.

Happy International Women's Day 2026!

This year's theme, "Give to Gain," perfectly aligns with our Foundation's commitment to empowering women, children, and families through generous acts of support in mental health, education, gender advocacy, and community outreach.

By giving our time, resources, and expertise—whether through the Beta Lead Women Connect mentorship platform, Women Advocate Breakfast Series, or financial empowerment programs that have enabled 10 women to achieve economic independence—we gain stronger, more equitable communities where everyone thrives.

Let's embrace a mindset of generosity and collaboration to advance women's rights and well-being. When we give, we all gain!

We had the impactful session at Government Junior Secondary School Elekahia on "Navigating Emotions and Building Resilience".

The takeaways are truly invaluable:
- Recognise your feelings and respond wisely, don't just react impulsively
- Develop healthy coping strategies like box breathing (4-4-4-4) to calm your mind
- Build self-awareness and confidence to strengthen emotional control
- Practice resilience together with your kids - it's a journey!

For parents, guardians, and caregivers, remember:
- Model healthy emotional regulation
- Create a safe space for kids to express themselves
- Encourage self-awareness and confidence
- Take care of your own mental health too, it's crucial for the kids!

Mental health is how we think, feel, and handle stress. Let's support our kids in growing emotionally and mentally strong!

How do you nurture emotional intelligence in your child? Share your thoughts!

Big thanks to our incredible supporters making this impact possible!

Here are some best ways as parents to encourage and empower your children emotionally, physically, and spiritually:

Emotional Empowerment:
- Validate their feelings (e.g., "You're upset because...").
- Practice active listening and ask open-ended questions.
- Teach emotional regulation techniques (e.g., deep breathing).
- Encourage expression through art, writing, or talking.

Physical Empowerment:
- Encourage physical activity (e.g., sports, dance, outdoor play).
- Teach healthy habits (e.g., nutrition, hygiene).
- Ensure adequate sleep and rest.
- Model healthy behaviors yourself.

Spiritual Empowerment:
- Explore and respect their beliefs and values.
- Practice mindfulness or meditation together.
- Encourage gratitude and kindness practices.
- Provide opportunities for community service or volunteering.

Some general tips:
- Show love, support, and acceptance unconditionally.
- Set clear boundaries and expectations.
- Be a positive role model.
- Spend quality time with your child.

Empowering our children emotionally, physically, and spiritually sets them up for a lifetime of confidence, resilience, and purpose. By being supportive, guiding, and loving parents, we give them the wings to soar!

Production of re-usable menstrual pad. Thanks to for this laudable project.

As a friend of Rotary and to commemorate the International Day of Education every 24th January, our founder joined Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Cosmopolitan, the Rotary Club of North Cobbs, and the Nigeria Girl Guides Association (Rivers State) for their "PAD A GIRL" Project which held at Archdeacon Brown Education Centre (Woji), Port Harcourt.

As we all know that education goes beyond books—it’s also about empowerment, dignity, health, and confidence. Today, they trained over 100 girls and young women on:
▪️Menstrual Hygiene: Breaking the silence with accurate health info.
▪️Reproductive Rights: Empowering girls to own their futures.
▪️Sustainable Solutions: Practical training on producing reusable pads.

By equipping these girls with life-changing skills, we are breaking stigmas and ensuring that periods never stand in the way of an education.

Together, let’s keep impacting lives.
